SELENA POV We walked into the library, and for a moment I simply stood there, unable to breathe. It was the biggest library I had ever seen, no, the biggest I had ever imagined. It radiated an ancient, almost sacred aura, like a world carved out of time itself. Every corner shimmered with quiet mystery. Long, endless shelves held scrolls, relics, and books of every age and era. Some were clearly older than kingdoms. Some pulsed faintly with magic. Some whispered as though they remembered too much.

The ancient library beneath the fortress had been sealed for two hundred years. When Elder Morgana suggested we open it, I balked. But she was insistent, and when I saw the books piled inside, volumes about Moon Healers, Primordials, ancient magic, I understood why. "These were written by the last Moon Priestess," Elder Morgana explained, carefully handling a leather-bound tome. "Before she disappeared. Before the Primordials supposedly won their war and were banished."

"An anchor provides balance. He holds a ship steady against the storm. Maybe… maybe that's his true purpose. Not just to hold reality, but to hold the Balance. To steady the world against the Sleeper's nightmares." It was a tiny, fragile idea. But it was a direction. They decided to head for a place Ashiel called the Sunken Library. It was an ancient archive, built by the first mortals who served the gods. It was said to hold knowledge about the true nature of the Pantheon, both Fallen and Divine. "It is a dangerous place," Ashiel warned as they packed up. "It is not guarded by men, but by echoes. Memories given form. They can show you truths that can break your mind."

ZORA I bit my lip, frustrated, but nodded. “Okay, then let's start with the library. That is basically where history is hidden.” The library being massive was an understatement. It was a maze of shelves stacked with ancient texts, old maps, and records of settlements that are long gone. It felt different from the one I visited when I was making findings about the bond I ran my fingers along the books, excitement building up in me in anticipation of what we would find.

With a soft click, the door creaked open. The room beyond was entirely different from the main library. The air here was heavier, filled with the scent of aged paper and ink. Shelves lined the walls, packed with ancient ledgers and weathered manuscripts. Some of the books looked like they had been there for centuries—frayed edges, faded covers, and all. “This section contains the history of this realm,” Caden said, his voice quieter now. “These are the original texts. Nothing has been added or removed. You won’t find them anywhere else. They’re invaluable and also inaccessible."

"The Elders have gathered hundreds at the northern border. They’ll be here by dawn." Silence filled the room. The time for planning was over. Eve met Luca's gaze. "This is it." That library was somewhere in this palace, hidden away among the old stones and forgotten corners. If she could find that library, she could find answers. She remembered Iris mentioning books. She remembered the way the story had been written down, preserved for centuries. There had to be more information there. Information about the curse. Information about what was happening to Nolan. "Elmund, where is the ancient library?" she asked. Elmund hesitated, clearly unsure whether he should tell her. "The ancient library?" he repeated carefully. "It's not a place the Luna usually visits, my lady."

’ I snorted making the librarian glare at me and giving her an apologetic smile I looked back at Ethan and said, ‘Well I will go now and remember don’t let anyone know and especially don’t tell Cain. Giving me a two-finger salute and with a nod, he immediately left the library as I smiled at his retreating figure. Turning around I sighed looking at the towers of books that I had to look through and already feeling irked I dragged myself towards the shelves that were dedicated to myths and mythologies. Finding a few books on ancient myths related to the moon goddess and a few on demons I carried the books to an open and single round table in one corner of the room. There I spread out the book

“And I’m not used to sleeping on a bed made of vines. Guess we’re even.” I couldn’t help but smile. “Glad you’re both here. I was just about to ask Fianna for directions to the Arborum Archives.” Niamh blinked. “The what?” “The great Elven library,” Fianna explained. “It holds records that date back to before the Great War.” “The Great War of Aetherfall,” I added quietly. “When all supernatural races fought against each other.” Niamh groaned. “Why does every story in history start with a war?”

It was located in a specific book in Leo's library—the one I had read titled 'Ancient Curses. This couldn't be good.
