In the Darkness of City Blocks

In the Darkness of City Blocks

The Arab looked at Conrod in surprise. "Hey, Satan," he said softly. They drove the rest of the way in silence, only oriental melodies sounded from the car's speakers. Half an hour later they reached the wide porch of the Central Library. Many stairs separated the pavement from the entrance to the building, as if reminding of the granite of science, which is not given to anyone without diligence. Conrod climbs the stairs. Thirty-five steps leading to a small round platform. As usual, like yesterday, a massive canopy supported by columns, with its surface reminiscent of the times of Roman rule. Like a week ago, he walks across the burgundy carpet, a little matted but clean. Conrod, with a hab

THE CROSSED WORLDS WITH HIGH HUMAN RACE

THE CROSSED WORLDS WITH HIGH HUMAN RACE

Susan announced and Madam Pince asked with curiosity. "It will index every piece of knowledge inside the library. Basically, it will let you search for a specific subject inside all the books in the library. Let's say that a student wants to search about the uses of mandrakes; he will come to the system, type the search subject, in this case, mandrakes, in it and hit the search button. The system will then give him a list of books inside the library that talk about mandrakes, and where to find them. The non-magical are already using a system like this in most of their libraries. Imagine going through over thousands of books in search of a specific subject. Of course, the automation of it is

I turned back to the attendant or librarian that hadn't left yet thankfully. "Sorry, it seems I am in above my head. I don't know exactly what I am looking for which is why I cannot tell you. Tell me how are the books organised?" She nodded, her expression unchanging. "By genre, author, date and relevance." I blinked looking at the library again not knowing how exactly that worked out. But according to genre… what would Magic and witches fall under apart from magic and witches? I turned back to the waiting attendant. "I want to see the History of the Southern Paw from as far back as you can find."

"This is incredible! Thank you. I hope we can find answers. I think it would take a lifetime to go through all these books." "There is organization and categories, which will make searching easier. Plus, each book is listed in the computer index and has a synopsis. I will show you how to use it." I walked over to the desk and she followed. We spent an hour with me showing her how I had categorized the books and how to find books using the computer index. She pulled a few books from the shelves and set them on the table. She sat down and idly flipped open a book. "These should be a good starting point." She said. "Is Carson allowed to help me or only Ang?" She asked.

AUCTIONED TO THE LYCAN KING

AUCTIONED TO THE LYCAN KING

And did not want me to know. I carefully placed the fragment between pages of another book for safekeeping. Then I searched. The library had a record system. A log book where scholars were supposed to note which texts they accessed. It was an old rule. Barely enforced. But some people still followed protocols out of habit. I found the log buried under stacks of returned books near the librarian's desk. Flipped through pages. Most entries were routine. Council members researching trade law. Scholars reviewing historical treaties. Then I found it.

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

Still, if they hadn’t managed to get any information out of him this long, then I highly doubted he was ever going to talk. Rather than focus on the pale-haired God haunting my lady parts, I began to scour the library in search of information. “Give me everything you’ve got on the Gods.” Books slid off their shelves, their pages flapping wildly as they took to the air. A tornado of them surrounded me, rustling my hair around my shoulders. One at a time, they fluttered down onto the tables, landing in a neat stack. CRACK!

The Book is Amazing! No need to debate, It's Jane of course it will be a masterpiece! I'm always fascinated in a multiple fated mates, aside from It's spicy lol, It also shows why someone is mated to many. Like what Orion said, Blakely fits them three; she can juggle Azrael's chaotic nature,...

I normally hate to spend the amount of money needed to finish the story faster. Because honestly I don’t buy real books for 50. Bucks. However, I really liked this story so I caved so bad. The characters are engaging and I really hated to see it end. Azrael will always be a sweet memory. Great work

She walked up to the librarian, sketchbook out of her white tote bag and in hand, with her page open ready for answers. “Hello, do you know which section I need to search to find similar symbols to this?” she politely asked the librarian as she lifted the open page. “Hmm, where’d you see something like this? It can be found in the anthropology section under either the symbol, folklore or mythology sub-sections.” The librarian said as she gave a somewhat suspicious look to Layla, staring her up and down. “Thank you!” Layla exclaimed with a bright smile on her face, oblivious to the librarians’ suspicions.

The Wife He Forgot: Ashes to Empire

They wheeled in a large wrapped box. "Open it," Grace urged. I unwrapped it. Slowly. Inside was a leather-bound book. Beautiful. Expensive. Heavy. But not just a book. A collection. "What is this?" "Open it," Asher said. I did. Inside were copies of everything I'd ever written. Every book. Every article. Every speech. Every letter. All compiled. Organized. Preserved. "We submitted this to the Library of Congress," Rowan explained. "They accepted it. It's now part of their permanent collection."
