Lila POV I was in hell. The way my body ached, my back burning like it had every inch of skin torn off was like being tossed into the flaming pits of Hell. My head pounded. My mouth hurt, the metallic taste of blood coating my tongue. There wasn’t a part of me that didn’t throb with pain. I couldn’t feel the lashes anymore, but I heard them. I still heard the sound of it cutting through the air, the crack as it landed on my skin.

I feel like I'm being torn apart like paper and got burned. "Sachi what's wrong?" Idris immediately approached me worried but I couldn't answer. I just kept screaming and like a worm twisted while Idris didn't know what to do and carried me to the front room. I can't stand the pain I'm feeling. What is happening to me? what is this? I felt water dripping down my face and saw Idris' eyes watering. "P-please help me, I can't stand the pain it's piercing through me" I beg as my eyes launch to flow some water. I did nothing and bit Idris' hand that was holding me to ease the pain but it didn't.

My face was swollen in multiple places, giving me that beach ball like feeling again, and the taste of rust was on my tongue from the large split in my lip. I could feel the location of several places they stitched back together in my scalp and at my hairline. I clenched the muscles of my stomach and instantly regretted it.

“I… can’t… feel my… legs…” I feel her body getting hotter and the little strength she was putting to maintain herself in my back disappears. Lily's POV The morning light poured in through the sheer curtains, soft but unforgiving. My eyes cracked open slowly, the sting of exhaustion dragging across every muscle. My throat felt dry, my lips swollen, and my entire body… ached. Everywhere. My wrists burned from where the belt had been tied too tight. My inner thighs were sore. Hickeys peppered my neck, my collarbone, even places I didn’t want to check. My body wore last night like a map of war...raw, bruised, and aching.

Lyra’s POV “I prepared a herb bath. It would soothe you and cater to your wounds,” He said as he walked back into the room. I wanted to tell him I was grateful, but even the thought of saying a word was painful, so I nodded. My body burned all over and my neck was sore from Keisha's hard grip. He walked towards me and pulled me to my feet. I winced and he eased his grip. My legs felt wobbly beneath me and every part of my body hurt. I exhaled and regretted it almost immediately. My ribs felt brittle and my breath was hot against the top of my lips.
