Enlightened by the Eclipse
I smiled at Kimmie, who was pouring a glass of wine behind the bar, then took my position, and started cutting some citrus fruit for more cocktails.
My phone pinged, and when I pulled it out of my apron pocket, to look, I saw:
Unknown: I forgot to mention that these drinks are disgusting in our awkward hallway encounter. I think I’m going to stick to beer.
I looked up to see Liam grinning at me and shook my head. He winked, then returned to his conversation. Butterflies returned in my belly, and I felt myself grinning like an idiot.
“Stay away from Liam,” Kimmie snarled as she put her glass on the round server’s tray next to me.
