As he approached, he appeared to float through the air. “I apologize for the delay, my friends.” The LightDuke l’s voice was deep and booming, but somehow still calm and soothing. “I just now had a chance to look at my pager.”

As we chatted, Thomas came over with a bowl of piping hot special mushroom soup and a few small dishes for me. In the blink of an eye, the butler and the other servants had vanished from sight. He watched me until I had finished everything, then he finally relaxed and leaned back on the sofa. Without any preamble, he asked me, "I've agreed to help you get your revenge on him."

Lyra giggled too and ran for Iris, two balls of light energy ready to be dispelled on each of her hands, she threw them at Iris who dodged easily and continued with her attacks. Lyra summoned a sword made entirely out of light energy, she slashed it at Iris, aiming for her abdomen but Iris caught it with her knives and leaped off the ground, spinning in the air above Lyra, she drew her knife and cut into the back of Lyra before she landed on the ground behind her.
