Lightlark Series Novels & Stories

When I enter, I quietly close the door behind me and fish for the lock in the darkness, my hands shaking so much I almost give up and cry. Once I've finally locked myself in the dark room that I have no idea of what it's purpose is, I run my hands over the wall and find the light switch. All the lights flicker to life in an instant and a rather large movie room is revealed. Even with all the perfectly laid out blankets, comfy-looking chairs, a gigantic movie screen and a snack bar, the first thing I notice is the 'emergency exit' sign and it's bright red lighting.

I said in a long litany while holding the debatable series light I had bought earlier. I immediately turned it on and circled it around its tombstone. I also reached for my guitar and immediately took it out of the box and immediately started playing its tune. “We were supposed to be singing inside of our dim light small house. We are happy and goofing together with our small house with just us two,” strumming while saying those words makes my heart missed him more. The whole place started to get darker and my series light was the only light I had and his gravestone.

Sure enough, it was gone. The image of him smiling at the clerk came to mind, along with the warm compliments about what a loving couple we were. That scene kept replaying in my head. I stood there in a daze, the bitterness in my chest slowly settling. I quietly told myself that maybe this was all just a one-sided crush on Serena's end. After dinner, Lucas suddenly set down his fork and said, "I have to work late tonight at the observatory. I need to observe a star that's quite rare."

June picked herself up and came back stronger; It was easier for June but Adonia; it was like walking on eggshells. "Oh, It's from my mom's design that's she is yet to launch. The L.A fashion Flashmob," Adonia replied proudly, and She watched Christabel nod her head in surprise. The L.A Fashion Flashmob was a big event for designers, and her mom had been winning back to back for the past five years.

I cautioned. “Lync... it’s not real!” Trey interrupts. “How do you know if it’s real Lync? The story of him killing his family, friends and other school students and stuff doesn’t add up. How can he get away with it and not get caught by police?” Deccan snapped. “Dude, I’m not standing here arguing about a stupid urban legend.” I mutter as I began to walk away. “Lync don’t go! They’re just being jerks.” Callie shouts.

Light stands up and they both shake their hands, then Light introduces her to me, “Erin meet Laila and Laila, meet Erin White.” "Oh! Mr. White, is a pleasure to meet you." She smiles professionally. “The pleasure is all mine.” I said. “Erin, Laila is a private investigator, and she is working on your case. I asked her to dig out the past of your wife. We need some powerful proof against her to prove her wrong in the court.” Light explains. I nod my head in understatement.

Meghan laughed and sent her a gleaming look of amusement from below her artfully darkened copper lashes. “Oh, darling, you’re being so boring… I know everything... I know this is all a masquerade orchestrated by Chris. How much is he paying you, little girl? If you’re good and walk out of here without making too much noise, I’ll double it! I’ll even help you get on the next plane to London.” “Like I just said, I don’t know what you’re talking about,” Lara replied, this time in a more determined tone, looking the red-head straight in her green eyes.

"Mr. Lloyd, I'd like to work for your company." "I'll come ready with my full commitment, and two of Eric's key clients. Is that enough? I can bring more if needed." A deep voice answered. "What do you want in return?" "I have no home and not a single penny to my name." "Alright. Come to my place."
