I open my eyes and I can feel the sparks shoot through them “Is she kinetic?! I didn’t sign up for this shit! I’m out of here!” Talon’s weak vampire partner shouts. He turns to flee the room but not fast enough. A bolt blasts from the palm of my hand. It hits his back lifting him almost to the ceiling. His body shakes violently; A second later he combusts into blue smoke. The same color as the bolt I used to kill him. I pull the lightening back and it tendrils around my arms gracefully. Talon looks like he’s about to piss his pants.

His gaze locked onto the storm above, where countless arcs of lightning wove together in a chaotic dance. "I have to get stronger—fast." His voice was a low murmur, but his eyes burned with unwavering determination. Thunder roared across the sky. Silver bolts of lightning coiled and twisted like dragons leaping through the heavens, their power immense and boundless. Suddenly, another bolt descended from the highest heavens, streaking straight toward Chase's skull. His expression darkened as he swiftly leaped backward. The lightning struck a tree behind him, splitting it apart in a flash of fire and embers. The scorched remains filled the air with the sharp scent of burned wood.

I pause when a burst of lightning explodes so close the heat of it singes my eyelashes, and Zayn appears in horrific glory–a swirling, utterly furious vortex of wind, rain, and pure… power. I can’t believe it. I’m having a really hard time accepting what I’m seeing and feeling the force of magic at play. Zayn whips his hand toward the Grand Wizard. Harry came forward and tried to drag him backward away from me, but it didn’t seem like he wanted to. He didn’t seem scared of me like the rest did from the woods, and I wasn’t going to attack either, even though he had just hurt me. He gasped as he continued to stare at the place he had cut, his extended claws dripping. When I glanced at them, they dripped with silver.

Somehow, Scarlett thought his expressions didn't quite fit their current situation, unless he was a psycho… And she was sure the underworld isn't scarce of them. Scarlett knew what she had to do. With lightning speed, she pulled out her gun and fired. The bullet would have hit the man in the chest, causing him to stumble backwards but his reflexes were as fast as lightning, it was inhumane! He let out a chuckle before pulling her to him, their body so close that she could perceive his sandalwood scent. Scarlett stood there for a moment, panting heavily and trying to comprehend what was going on.

Nick started. I shushed him and moved his hand to place it on my scar. It was sensitive and a strange feeling. Nick stroked his fingers over and traced around my scar. The touch sent shivers of electricity through my body. "Does it hurt?" He asked with his gaze focused on my scar.

“By the thunder of the heavens and the marrow of the earth, I command the restless to sleep!” She didn't just use her magic; she funneled a portion of her own life-force into the ward. A pillar of white, crackling lightning erupted from the stone floor, slamming into the Wraith. The creature howled, a sound of agonizing despair, before it was vaporized into a cloud of harmless ash. The silence returned, but the air was now warm, the red glow of the vault door replaced by a steady, neutral bronze. Scarlett slumped forward, her energy drained, but a pair of strong arms caught her before she hit the ground.
