Under the Cover of Darkness

Under the Cover of Darkness

“There's that atrocious nickname again, just great. Come on, let's go upstairs and eat, it's much nicer up there.” I led her up to the balcony outside the master bedroom. It was big enough to hold two overstuffed black couches and a wooden coffee. Curling around the glass railing was a length of cute fairylights. It seemed tacky in my opinion and I was glad to be leaving soon. Crowning everything perfectly was the amazing view of the city. The twinkling lights were reminiscent of stars on a clear night and seeing as how everywhere was quiet it was indeed like we were alone in our own galaxy.

Midst of Darkness!

Midst of Darkness!

The man who has snatched the light from my life, it feels like he is here or maybe I am so paranoid that my mind creates an illusion. He always makes me feel that he is not present but I know he is present in the darkness of the house. He owns it, darkness is his slave and he conquers everything with it. I entered the room and quickly switched on the lights. I can hear my own heartbeats as I gulped in fear and my hands started shaking making the water in my bottle tremble with the movements. Never in my life have I thought that I'll be this terrified to enter my own room. It feels tragic.

STOP…. Sit back and take a read. This story has the makings of a Netflix limited series. I hope the author decides to do a continuation. Bring Rebecca back and Aura to take revenge on the Mafia. Also let’s read more about her struggles and … Did Edgardo inherit her multiple personalities?

The Darkness Within

The Darkness Within

“It's not like that. It's not something you can get rid of. It's part of me; it's my other half. It's who and what I am. Don’t you see, I am the darkness! To get rid of it would be to get rid of me. I'm no good for you. I will only cause you pain and suffering. I am the darkness! I'm the monster everyone's afraid of. I'm the beast in the dark that children have nightmares of. I am the evil from the depths of hell and will only snuff out your light, little angel. You and I can never be together!” He said with a deep and rough voice. Smoke seeped from his body again, and a dark aura rose from his body like a shadow looming over her.

Vicki McCall
This book is another one of the author's that can't be put down. Each chapter draws you in and each character evokes emotion from the reader. I can't recommend it enough. If you love supernatural fantasy with love, passion, romance, mystery, suspense and adventure then you will love it as I do.
Katrina
Thank you for continuing to work on this book. I was wondering how it turned out for Ivy and Vivian when they turned 18, were they mates or not. As always you are an incredible writer ......️.........

Falling for Darkness

Falling for Darkness

’’, I mumbled to myself. Finally finding the perfect book, it is an age-gap mafia and enemies to lovers romance book. There was a couch in the library, I made my way to it and started reading. I lost count of the time. Reaching my room with the book in my hand, I see Rowan standing in front of my room. I braced myself to face him. ‘’Where were you?’’, he spewed the bitter words in my face. He was fuming, for what reason?Did he look for me?

His darkness

His darkness

Yet, no matter how much time passed, I couldn't close my eyes. I'm terrified of the dark, and I lay there, petrified, for some time, before I worked up the courage to speak. "Xander?" He didn't respond. "Xander, please. I can't sleep in total darkness. Can you turn the lamp on?" Around us, the shadows formed frightening shapes, and I had to bite back a cry. I had always found trouble sleeping in a pitch-black room. Back home, I would always leave a lamp on its lowest light or something like that because if not, my eyelids wouldn't meet and my mind wouldn't stop playing tricks on me. Let's not even talk about my petrified heart.

Out of His Darkness

Out of His Darkness

Laying down once more she firmly swore no matter what she was sleeping. The light out once more she settled into the soft sway of the mattress. Her breath slowly evened out and her body relaxed. Beside her in the darkness he lay, staring at her still form. She was finally beneath his roof within his walls. He breathed in her scent like red plums from the garden. He snuggled in closer to her and lay there watching her. This was the solace his demon needed to be whole. "Soon my darling, soon we shall be together always, " he whispered out.

Into The Light

Into The Light

In the end, he left the room, slamming the door after muttering, “Behave yourself.” The bedroom fell into a suffocating silence. I sat on the bed for a very long time. On that night, my longing for a family faded, and my love for my brother turned cold. As for Shawn, he would never know the real truth behind why I went blind in the first place. Late at night, when all was quiet, I grabbed my documents and my passport, carefully feeling my way toward the back exit of the Mercer estate. There was a small gate there that had no guards posted.

The Thorne Protocol

The Thorne Protocol

His fingers flew over the interface, adjusting the settings she had demanded that afternoon. The amber lights dimmed, then vanished entirely. For a heartbeat, there was total, terrifying darkness. Then, a single, focused beam of white light descended from the ceiling, illuminating only the petrified wood desk and the two chairs facing each other. Everything else—the bookshelves, the corners of the room, the ceiling—was swallowed by an impenetrable black. "Sit," Silas commanded. Lyra sat. Across from her, Silas remained standing in the shadows just outside the pillar of light. He looked like a specter, his white shirt glowing faintly, his face a collection of sharp angles and deep shadows.

Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

Three-Years Contract Marriage with the Billionaire

I knew because I was awake and the dark has a specific and particular quality when there is light somewhere in it, the way it is not entirely dark, the way the knowing of the light changes the quality of the dark even when you cannot see it. I knew she was awake. I lay in the dark and I held the words I had found and I thought: tomorrow. At one-twenty the light went out. The dark became the specific and complete dark of a hallway at one-twenty in the morning.
