That’s when I see Lilli, she is on the floor by the door and she is having a nightmare. I turn on the light and coax her awake, she stirs and wipes her eyes. She looks so much like a child when she does that. It’s a shock to see, but so lovely too.

Two sharp fangs emerged from Lucas’s mouth as he brought his face close to Lilith’s neck. His jaw tightened. His breath deepened. Lucas was clearly restraining himself, especially as Lilith’s body froze in his grip. He pulled away, still showing Lilith his sharp fangs. Her mind rejected it, but her eyes did not.
