(Author's POV) Lilith sat on the cold floor with her back resting against the iron bars of her cell. She had cried until no more tears seemed willing to come. Her swollen eyes stared blankly at the opposite wall, yet she wasn't truly seeing it. All she saw... Was Oliver. His smile. His gentle eyes. The way he always called her name as though it was the most beautiful word he'd ever spoken. A sad sob escaped her lips. Her trembling fingers slowly found their way to her stomach.

Chapter 32 Just A Stranger. Lyla Atelo. The way his breath fanned my neck... The proximity... It was all too much. "Sage..." A strangled sound escaped my mouth. His cologne filled my senses, coiled itself around my entire being. His fingers were still on my lips, and his eyes were there... Staring at them... The yearning in his eyes to kiss them... "What do you want, Lyla? Tell me." The low command of his voice sent shivers down my spine.

I commanded, my voice echoing with a resonance that was not entirely my own. ​The iron bolts groaned, a sound like a giant waking from a long slumber. The door swung open slowly, revealing a chamber filled with a soft, ethereal glow. Thousands of scrolls were tucked into honeycomb shelves that reached into the darkness above, and in the center stood a pedestal made of pure obsidian. On it sat the book, bound in skin that shimmered like a raven’s wing. ​"The Book of Shadows," Lila whispered, her torch flickering as if the room itself were trying to snuff it out. "It actually exists."

- she hissed, close to fury. - And that's what I like, my dear.- Samael smiled, wrapping his arms around her waist and bringing Lilith's body closer so that they briefly touched. - Ah, as always you think just about one thing.- Lilith looked up, more and more impatient.- But if only this can make you open your mind to me...- she added after a moment, almost in a whisper, which sounded extremely sensual, and then kissed him passionately. Samael wanted to focus on his shield at all costs, keeping Lilith out of his mind, but after each caress he felt it became more and more difficult.

Gabriella said. “And if you ever need someone to talk to or just keep you company, I'm always here,” she continued. They both went silent, and Gabriella remained hugging her for the next few minutes until she calmed down. They were both now sitting on the floor of the room silently. Lilith slept off on Gabriella's shoulder, and Gabriella stared at the page she picked up from inside the metal bucket. “You know, I read her book before I destroyed it,” Lilith said, her eyes opening.

Lily My sight became blurry as soon as they injected the transparent liquid to me. The next thing I knew I was in a dark place. Everything was dark. I am lost. I stayed there for like eternity. Then I saw a light, far from where I am standing. I tried to chase it but my steps became heavier every step I took then I couldn't move. I closed my eyes. Just like what my daddy taught me when I feel fear, just close your eyes and breathe. And I did that.

she muttered, her eyes fixed on the book which was so dusty and crisped. Quickly, Lilia sat on her bed and flipped through the first page, her curious eyes glanced through each word. This book was a gift bestowed on her on her ninth birthday by Mama Gunad, the book that contains the legendary story of the cursed werewolf no human has ever laid eyes on. With a racing heart, Lilia flipped through each page as the first three pages failed to mention the name of the werewolf.

I could hear Lilah's heartbeat. Faster. Faster still. The steady rhythm pounded in my ears, overwhelming every other sound until her very life force became a deafening drum. It was erratic, uneven-full of fear. I wanted to tell her to calm down, that she had nothing to fear from me. Yet my lips moved soundlessly, unable to form words. "Your eyes..." Lilah's voice trembled, though she tried to mask it behind her usual coldness. "You used the book your father warned against."

Danny said and shrugged her shoulder. "Dude, leave it. We can look for it in the bookstore. Do you remember the book's name?" Danny asked. "Yes, the book's name is Lilith," Isabella answered. "We can check the record from the librarian who took the book," she added in the next second. "Yes, genius. Let's go," Bethany said and grabbed a normal book, then headed to the librarian, who was reading something with his glass on. He was strict and grumpy due to old age but also loved by everyone.
