But seeing him stared down at me that way, broke every inch of my soul. Five months ago after the death of King Alpha Lev, the man who murdered my parents and put me in his harem, Troy became the new Alpha king and he destroyed the harem and I and the rest of the women were set free. Despite knowing I was an abomination, Troy treated me nicely and we made love several times. But when I finally mated with him and the Elders protested; how dare a Lyge—a wolf from a generation of humans turned wolf—become Queen Luna. I was surprised when he sided with them.

Kade was even more possessive over his mates since they are carrying pups. “Babe, I know that you are worried but we are capable of taking care of ourselves”, Nahla sweetly tried to calm her mates down. “We refuse to hide away like some damsel's in distress, we’re the Queen of Lycan’s and Wolves, the Luna’s of Silver Moon, and Queen’s of Andora. We would never do anything to endanger our pups but we will protect what is ours and fight alongside our mates and pack”, Selene did not like to hide away, she is strong and powerful. She will take on whoever dares to cross her, her pack and her kingdom.

Was all Leo said taking my hand and pulling me down the corridor a little more, but we didn’t walk far, his hand pointing to one portrait in particular. “This Queen here, she was called Evermore, she was human and was abused by her stepfather, she ended up ruling beside her mate for generations and is hailed one of the best Queens of our kind.” Leo first explained pointing towards a pair of mates who beamed happily at us, the woman absolutely, beautiful, I wouldn’t have known her past at all.

Their faces were pressed against the cold floor as their bodies shook violently. Several female werewolves who used to know me were trembling so hard their teeth chattered. “S-Selena… the Alliance’s strongest Alpha King, Lord Lucas, is your mate?” “The steward elder even performed a kneeling salute! And Leo called her his mom! She must be that mysterious Luna Queen everyone talks about, the one Lord Lucas treasures above all!” Gasps spread through the room again. I found the noise irritating, so I simply gave a faint smile.

The possessed Layla let out another chilling laugh. “She only defeated your pathetic Evelyn because I allowed her to tap into my power! She is mine! Her will is subservient to mine! She is merely a shell, a puppet on my strings!” “No!” I shouted, dodging another brutal assault, feeling the familiar sting of energy as she clawed at my arm, her touch burning like ice. “She’s not! She’s Layla Bloodwood, Luna Queen of the Bloodwood Pack, and she belongs to no one but herself, and to me!” My heart ached, a deep, crushing sorrow settling over me. I couldn’t keep fighting her. Not like this. This wasn't a battle against an enemy; it was a battle against my own soul. Each block, each parry, felt lik

But right now, the caption read, "Elena Nightbloom consorts with a Rogue. A defiled werewolf is unfit to be Luna Queen!" The thousands of werewolves in the audience instantly fell deathly silent before suddenly erupting into deafening roars. "Traitor!" "Shameless she-wolf!" "Such filth doesn't deserve to be our Luna Queen!" Lucas, dressed in the Alpha King's robes, looked down at me from his elevated position. "Everyone, while Elena Nightbloom is my fated mate, I cannot accept a tainted she-wolf as the Luna Queen. "For the honor of the Silvermoon Kingdom, I officially declare that I reject the bond with Elena Nightbloom and strip her of all titles!"

Those green eyes darted towards me for a fraction of a moment and then resumed their prowl on others. "The she-lion or the lionesses are attracted only to those lions who have the aura of dominance surrounding them. A Queen never likes a weak king. The lion, on the other hand, wants his mate to be submissive in every way possible, and she must submit only to her mate and no one else. It's not easy to find a mate, either. The lion fights for his mate, and he never stops until and unless he gets what he wants." He paused as his eyes made their way to me again, forcing me to look away.

It truly was the blessing that the goddess promised. Emily's POV After dinner, we went and sat in the lounge. Jen and I chatted about nursery decoration, maternity clothes, baby names, the usual new mum stuff whilst the boys played on the XBOX. "I'm sorry to interrupt, but we have news also." Selene was standing with grandma and Judy, and they didn't look like their usual happy selves. "Jenny, one of the pups you carry is the next gold wolf and the other is the protector of the queen," Jenny was shocked. That is major news.

Khloe was looking at the expression on his face and when she said she heard voices, she saw that it made Lucian flinch with anger, he was not at all happy to hear that. "What voices?" he asked. "Nothing," Khloe looked away not daring to meet his gaze any longer. Lucian sighed and took her hands, "You are their Luna and you will meet each one of the creatures because I will make you my queen and the queen of all supernatural beings." Lucian has a serious look on his face which delight Khloe as she watches him.

"If you get carried away again and let this happen, I will have no other choice but to terminate the mission and send someone else who can do it better." Anne's eyes widened at the threat. The queen nodded, staring directly into her eyes, and Anne's eyes returned to normal. She shook her head slowly. "Mother, please... You don't need to send another mermaid to Earth to do this. I can handle it," Anne pleaded. The queen took a deep breath, her anger still evident. "I will say this again: the werewolves are not your enemies. Stay a million kilometers away from Yvonne Brooks, or..." The queen's voice trailed off, her rage palpable.
