Somehow, Deril was disgusted with the animal that Queenie always had on her shoulder. “You are a very strange Princess. I doubt you grew up in a palace. It looks like you’re used to living in the woods.” Queenie did not respond to Deril’s words. She just looked at the man with a piercing gaze, asking for an explanation. Deril giggled at The Flash in Queenie’s eyes. “Look, when other girls prefer cats, rabbits, or cute animals, you choose lizards as your pets. His skin is slippery, his eyes are always bulging, and his tongue is sticking out ... Huft! ...don’t you feel dis

I felt Oliver licking the wound to seal it, but he did not let go of me. “You are all witnesses. I present Luna Helena. Queen of the Lycans.” Oliver smiled and within the blink of an eye loud applause and howls erupted from the Lycans. I was shocked that they were all so happy about it! Oliver lifted his hand to silence them and smiled at me for a moment before returning his attention to the werewolves on the ground.

The room fell quiet immediately, all eyes turning to him. “My pack,” Tariq began, his voice strong and commanding, “tonight, I introduce to you someone very special. Leah has been through much, and she has proven her strength time and again. She will be your Luna, your queen, and she will stand by my side as we lead the Fireblood pack into a new era.”

She on a horse albeit a sickly one, riding triumphantly out of the king’s castle to the Baryns with Vallezarii’s head on a pike. Such foolish dreams. “You weave such dreams knowing how impossible they will be to attain. How can I be a Dragon Queen when I am bound by the chains of marriage and duty?!” Llod’s dreams faded and his eyes narrowed. “Have children.” “Is it that easy? And how will I have children with the king’s cruel penetrations into my body? My thighs are smeared with scars of his lovemaking, perhaps you should like to see them and tell me how to endure more of them.”

Many could not withstand the power of the Goddess in the flesh, only Alpha’s could stand so close. Adele only nodded her head, overwhelmed by the power she was experiencing. Her wolf would be focusing solely on the Goddess, a dangerous side effect if she was present with any other wolf. It was easy to drown in the moons embrace. “You surprise me, Lunum Lupus.” Adele jumped at the arrival of Leonidas, stepping away from the table as the connection was broken. Adelaide huffed slightly in a chuckle at the child and watched as she backed slowly away. Sensing the age and power that came from the ancient wolf and came to stand behind her, peaking around her legs but not touching her.

In his rush of adrenaline, he had completely forgotten that there were still males around the castle, now, about twenty guards surrounded him with their eyes fixed solely on Daphne. “Move”, he growled with so much authority, it shook the atmosphere but none of them did as they were told. It was simply the power of the Heat of The Luna Queen. It gave all men immunity to orders, even those straight from the alpha king himself. The luna queen was said to have the strongest and most capturing scent out of all the female lycans, this made all the want her and their eyes were fixed on the prize. “Move”, he repeated, just to receive the same reply.

“Your bloodline is very important to us, Luna. We spent years searching for you—despite what you may think, you will not be a prisoner here.” Suddenly, he grabbed the knife at his belt. I flinched as he reached for my wrists, but he calmly cut the ropes, freeing me. Then, he dropped to one knee and bowed his head. “What are you doing?” I blurted out. “My Queen,” Eyepatch said, looking up at me with his one good eye. “Please forgive me for my actions.” I blinked. “Queen?” “You are a Lycan, are you not?” I froze. He was insane. He had to be. Lycans were extinct. Everyone knew that. They’d died off hundreds of years ago, long before I was even born.

Like sisters, maybe? “Pshaw,” the queen flicked a wrist and the sirens around her cringed back, “This is nothing. That infernal bird riled everyone up again. We had to do something.” “You mean the Lightning Bird, Astrapi?” said Ilyria. The queen’s eyes widened. “Delightful,” she said, walking toward Ilyria. Ilyria sensed Madame Skia’s panic but stood her ground. Up close the queen was disconcerting. Her flesh hung grey and loose but her eyes were sharp and of a quite beautiful mauve hue, edged in long dark lashes. “I smell it on her,” she said, sniffing Ilyria. She turned to Madame Skia. “Have she and the bird been … intimate yet?”

Lucianne answered humbly with a polite smile. Christian then added, “Oscar, if you want to know about our Queen, you can’t ask her personally. Her humility doesn’t permit her to give you the full information. She’s the Gamma of Blue Crescent, one of the strongest packs in existence. And she is the fiercest of her kind, like a Gamma of the Gammas. In combat this morning, she beat the best Lycan warrior and our General in the same match all on her own. Less than ten minutes later, she beat our King here within eight minutes.”
