Sold to the Ruthless Lycan king (The Lycan's flame).

Sold to the Ruthless Lycan king (The Lycan's flame).

Cain flips open the green book in his hand and Safira opens the one in hers. They stare at me and I smile sheepishly before walking over to one of the shelves and picking up the first green book I see. I smirk as I walk back to my seat. “What are the odds that I picked the book the librarian was telling us about?” Cain chuckles. “There are over one hundred green leather-bound books in here, different shades and different sizes, so let’s say the chances are pretty slim. The book is probably thicker than that.” Safira nods. “A history of Lycan and werewolf magics sounds like something that lives in a thick tome. Probably weighs a few pounds.”

OWNED BY MY EX'S GODFATHER

OWNED BY MY EX'S GODFATHER

I close the door quietly. I spend an hour in the smaller library looking at the books. He has everything. Fiction. Nonfiction. Art books. History. A whole shelf of poetry that looks like it has never been touched. I pull out a volume of Mary Oliver and flip through it. Someone has dog-eared a page. I read the poem. "Wild Geese." I read it twice.

Crown of the Luna; my mate wants me dead

Crown of the Luna; my mate wants me dead

The library had always been Leora’s escape. After the chaos of training, endless lessons, and the weight of expectations pressing down on her shoulders, she only wanted silence — the kind that didn’t demand answers. The vast shelves welcomed her like old friends. The scent of aged parchment and ink filled the air as sunlight filtered through tall, arched windows, casting soft gold patterns across the floor. She trailed her fingers along the spines of thick books, reading the fading titles — Ancient Bloodlines, The Rise of the Luna Courts, The War of Silver Moons.

Whispers Beneath The Rain

Whispers Beneath The Rain

“Tell me this doesn’t look like it crawled out of a Victorian ghost story.” Clara laughed softly despite herself. “Please tell me you didn’t adopt another haunted object.” “It was in the donation stack Thomas dropped off last week.” Lena placed it carefully on the counter. “I swear, Clara, it felt like it wanted to be found.” Clara rolled her eyes gently. “Books don’t want things.” “They absolutely do,” Lena insisted. “They just can’t shout.” Clara reached for the book. The leather was thin and soft from age. The corners were worn smooth, as though it had passed through many hands. She opened it slowly.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

While she dressed, her friends gathered at her back window and checked out the action below. “Wow, that thing is really blazing,” Caitlin said. “This is gonna be fun.” “I’m not burning any books,” Leesa said as she grabbed her parka from the back of her chair. “Those things are too damn expensive. I can sell ‘em back to the bookstore.” “Don’t worry,” Cali said. “We’re not burning any books, either. We’ll let the crazy kids do that. We’re just gonna join the fun.” They rode down the elevator with two other girls from Leesa’s floor, Cheryl and Ashley. Cheryl had a canvass shopping bag filled with paperback books slung over her shoulder. The ones Leesa could see looked pretty old and worn.

Bride of the Beasts

Bride of the Beasts

Some bore strange symbols pressed into the leather covers—markings I didn’t recognize at all. I closed the door carefully behind me, wincing at the soft creak of old hinges before the room fell quiet once more. Then I stepped farther inside. Dust stirred beneath my slippers as I approached one of the shelves. Leaning closer to the glass, I tried to read the spines of the books lined neatly within. Maybe there was a reason these books had been separated from the rest of the library. Maybe they contained something important. But the spines revealed nothing useful. Most bore only the same unfamiliar markings stamped into the leather—strange symbols curling across the bindings in faded silver an

The Billionaire’s Regret Clause; One Year Together. One Love

He had stood in the corridor outside the office and found this condition mildly alarming. He opened the door that looked like a cupboard. The library was not large—perhaps five metres by eight, lined floor to ceiling on three walls with shelves that held a mix of what appeared to be the estate's collected acquisitions over decades: reference volumes, local history, a run of leather-bound classics that were probably decorative, and a more lived-in section on the lower shelves that contained the kind of varied, idiosyncratic mix that accumulates when people actually use a space. A basket chair near the window. A reading lamp with a warm bulb. A small wooden table that held a bowl of dried flow

She carried several leather-bound books, her arms wrapped around them protectively as she approached my desk. "Little luna," I greeted her, rising to take the books from her. Their weight surprised me—she must have been carrying them for some distance. "Did you enjoy the library?" "It was incredible," she replied, her eyes brightening. "I've never seen so many books in one place. The royal librarian was extremely helpful once she got over her shock that the new Queen wanted access to legal texts instead of romances." I set the books on my desk, noting the ancient spines with titles referencing pack law and royal decrees. "You found what you were looking for, I see."

The Mate Games

The Mate Games

In the far corner is a sink and a crude-looking toilet. Hooks line one of the walls, all empty. The air smells like rust and dust. But then, something catches my eye. A shelf near the back, almost hidden in shadow. Not plastic packages this time. Books. Old ones. Their spines are worn, leather cracked. Some have gold filigree. Others are thick and bound in cloth. I move closer, squinting to read the faded titles. “Lineage of Power.” “The Lost Coronation.” “Treaties of the First Blood.”

I've read all 104 chapters released until now. I have to say that I really liked the book until the last 5 pages. The thoughtful, brave girl we all knew until now is now stupid female that almost became the reason the male character got killed. There is not really any reason that can be an excuse

he said. “Really?” I asked, curiosity lacing my voice. He nodded once. “You’ll see.” I followed him to the library, the scent of old pages and cedar filled the air. To the left, I noticed a new shelf, small, polished, and unlike the grand spiral ones towering around us. My gaze caught on a delicate gold tag at the top: ‘The Juliens.’ My lips curved without meaning to. He set the books down carefully, arranging them as though they were fragile pieces of our story.
