I stated from beside him. Pyrite busted out laughing at the abbreviation of his brother’s name. “Oh, Py sweetie. I didn’t forget about you,” I smirked at him. They both busted out laughing at the nicknames I had for them. “I like Pie, so I’m okay with my nickname,” Py stated with a smug look on his face. “His is an animal that's used for manual labor. “Or you’re crusty and I’m studly,” Ox said with a glare at Py.

"And if she was, why would you bring it up? You lack that much class?" "Girlfriend?" The other guy said surveying me. "Not bad little Brandy." What is this nickname and where did it come from? "For one, you and I are the same age, stop calling me little. Two, yes girlfriend. This is Scarlett. I asked, feeling strangely comfortable around him. “What? Kol?” I nodded “Well, Nicholas is a mouthful and he absolutely hates Nick. So, I call him Kol instead, except when I want to get on his nerves.” He shrugged. His friendliness was contagious and if I remembered correctly, the night at the bar too, he seemed quite friendly.

Eventually, the uncertainty became unbearable. "Hey, psychopath." The nickname instantly drew attention from everyone at the table. Several heads turned towards him. Nathan paused with his coffee halfway to his lips. Seraphina looked up. Mr. and Mrs. Blackwood exchanged glances. Angela froze completely. Everyone knew that nickname. Everyone knew Lucian hated it. Everyone also knew Adrian used it constantly anyway. Somehow, over the years, it had become part of their friendship. Usually the response was immediate. An insult, a threat, a sarcastic comeback, or something.

“Lil N, it’s not like you don’t know me. Your brother will help me out, so just leave it be.” Nicole’s eyes sank. Her voice suddenly turned cold. “What did you call me?” For a moment, her eyes were frosty and indifferent. Lil N? Only her close friends and family could call her this. How could a small-time actress that she was not familiar with call her Lil N? The second female lead saw Nicole’s glum face and wondered how this nickname offended this princess, but she could not afford to mess with Nicole. “Lil N. That’s what I heard your brother call you.”

Monique smiled politely, she said sincerely, “Perhaps we should go to the clinic for a quick check just in case?” Nick shook his head politely and removed his hand from her, “This is nothing, really.” This made Monique realize that she had not let go of his hand till now. Instantly, she felt embarrassed, and said laughing, “You sound like you always cut yourself.” “Haha…” Nick found it funny, especially her embarrassed look, he asked, “What’s your name?” “Monique.” “What a lovely name, I’m Nick. Can I call you Monnie?” “…”

Thankfully, she never told him his name. Nick looked up at her with a smirk. He wasn't going to say it. Was he? “You can call me Nick.” “Nick?” Nita screamed, her tone dripping with warning. Nate looked between them. “I like it. Can I call you Uncle Nick or daddy? I don't have a daddy. I don't mind calling you daddy, daddy.” Nita turned to him. “Nate, you can’t just go around calling anyone daddy. That's wrong.”
