NICK'S POV "Nick get up, you would be late for school" my nanny woke me up. Being the best basketballer was not an easy feat but it has helped me with being popular and loved by most girls. I had this weird dream about a girl who told me her name was Pearl. It was a bit disturbing but I could not let go of the connection I felt towards her in the dream. "Well, it's a dream," I said to myself. In case you do not know me I am Nicholas Santos, you can call me Nick, the guy of every girl's dream.

"Why?" She smiled. “He was so young when we went on the run and he couldn’t always remember his new name, so we kept it as Nicky. Only the last name we used would change. And his real name is the same as yours.” Nikoli looked confused. “What do you mean?”

Then she grinned—the most mischievous expression crossing her face. “What?” “If you call me sweetheart, do I get to call you something, ah, special, too?” “I’m not one for nicknames. What did you have in mind?” “Something simple.” I could live with that. “Like?” “Dick,” she stated with a straight face. “No.” “Why not? It’s a short form of your name, and it, ah, suits you, on so many levels.” I gave her a sharp look. I was sure she knew the nickname was attached to me in the industry and was trying to poke fun. “No. Pick something else.”

Oki commented with a smile. "And cute," Darrion added. Both wind let's then snickered and high-fived each other. "Ugi's nickname and mine are cute. Brownie and Cookie," Ruhan smiled nervously. Mac sulked a bit more. "Why can't we have nicknames like the top three? He calls Jai 'Thunder boy', Raka the "Windy boy", and Torfo the 'Fire boy'. I mean, Torfo's the most normal of us all!!"

Eventually, the uncertainty became unbearable. "Hey, psychopath." The nickname instantly drew attention from everyone at the table. Several heads turned towards him. Nathan paused with his coffee halfway to his lips. Seraphina looked up. Mr. and Mrs. Blackwood exchanged glances. Angela froze completely. Everyone knew that nickname. Everyone knew Lucian hated it. Everyone also knew Adrian used it constantly anyway. Somehow, over the years, it had become part of their friendship. Usually the response was immediate. An insult, a threat, a sarcastic comeback, or something.

“Lil N, it’s not like you don’t know me. Your brother will help me out, so just leave it be.” Nicole’s eyes sank. Her voice suddenly turned cold. “What did you call me?” For a moment, her eyes were frosty and indifferent. Lil N? Only her close friends and family could call her this. How could a small-time actress that she was not familiar with call her Lil N? The second female lead saw Nicole’s glum face and wondered how this nickname offended this princess, but she could not afford to mess with Nicole. “Lil N. That’s what I heard your brother call you.”

Monique smiled politely, she said sincerely, “Perhaps we should go to the clinic for a quick check just in case?” Nick shook his head politely and removed his hand from her, “This is nothing, really.” This made Monique realize that she had not let go of his hand till now. Instantly, she felt embarrassed, and said laughing, “You sound like you always cut yourself.” “Haha…” Nick found it funny, especially her embarrassed look, he asked, “What’s your name?” “Monique.” “What a lovely name, I’m Nick. Can I call you Monnie?” “…”

Thankfully, she never told him his name. Nick looked up at her with a smirk. He wasn't going to say it. Was he? “You can call me Nick.” “Nick?” Nita screamed, her tone dripping with warning. Nate looked between them. “I like it. Can I call you Uncle Nick or daddy? I don't have a daddy. I don't mind calling you daddy, daddy.” Nita turned to him. “Nate, you can’t just go around calling anyone daddy. That's wrong.”

Then he picked up the ticket and shook it, "So, let's go, Miss Rough!" "..." Elizabeth just couldn't stand it and said while following him, "Can you stop giving me the nicknames so casually?" It's fine to be called Little Intern. But now he called her Little Bunny, or sometimes Miss Rough. Did he ever think about how she felt? "Do I give you nickname casually? It's obvious that I'm serious, isn't it? Which one is inappropriate for you? Besides, you know they are just nicknames. They can help us get closer to each other."

“I bet you wouldn’t be able to come up with one anyway,” “How about nugget?” I giggle. Okay, it’s officially a waste to fear John. “That’s actually kinda cute,” John looks sour. “Shrimp then?” “Overused,” I reply. “Try harder,” “Short stuff?” Smiling, I shake my head. “All those nicknames are cute and kinda fitting since I’m short,” “How about Marina the great?” Embarrassment finds my cheek, and I freeze, eyes caught on the angel who studies me briefly before his lips turn grim.
