My mouth remains open, I would say another opposition so that Zion would not sleep with Damian, but a scream echoed throughout the fortress, an alerted Damian runs to the living room, the scream came from Liv, it was a girl. Asmeral woke up, was the only thing I thought about. I ran to check Zion's room, she didn't wake up, Zion is a heavy sleeper, and because of the loud scream I thought he would wake up. Less worried now, I head to the living room. And my skin crawled, a chill ran through my body. Asmeral had woken up, well, I guess it's not Asmeral. She has Liv pinned against her, I don't know where she got her knife, which she holds against Liv's throat. She uses it to threaten us.

A scream ripped out of her chest, raw and gut-wrenching. "NO! NO! NO!" she shrieked, collapsing onto the floor. Her scream was enough to bring everyone running. Luna darted in from the kitchen, skidding to a halt. "What happened? Sienna, what.." Then she saw it. Her hand flew to her mouth as tears welled up. Elias was the next to appear, followed by Lucian. Lucian grabbed the remote and turned the volume up, listening as the anchor reported with grave clarity:

*Mackenzie* I woke up drenched in sweat. My whole body was convulsing, and my chest was tearing up from the inside. I tried to scream, but my voice got stuck in my throat. I grabbed my soaked T-shirt and started pulling at it, trying to tear it as if that way I could relieve the pain. But nothing worked. "Help me quickly. We have to give her stimulants, or she'll scratch herself to death!" "Don't order me. Just save her! If something happens to her, I'll kill you. Do you understand? I'll kill you!"

We have food for a couple of days a week if we’re frugal. As we sit down we hear twigs snapping. Jumping up we take a defensive stance waiting for whoever it is to emerge from the undergrowth. /I love you Maverick,/ I link him. /I love you too. This is not the end though, we’ve only just begun,/ he replies catching on to my anxiety. It doesn’t take long for a scared and dishevelled figure to emerge from the bushes. I stare at MacKenzie's scratched and bruised face. When she sees us she falls to her knees and starts sobbing.

Aurelia’s POV My scream tore out of me as Liam dragged me closer to the edge. The ground crumbled beneath my back, pebbles and dirt raining into the darkness below. My fingers clawed uselessly at stone slick with dust and blood, my body jerking violently as I kicked and punched at him with everything I had left. “LET GO OF ME!” I screamed, my throat burning, my voice raw with terror. Liam’s grip was iron. Like he wasn't going to let go no matter how hard I screamed.

It was… intimate. "Do. Not. Scream," he ordered, his silver eyes burning into mine. He yanked. A sound. A wet, thick, sickening POP. My vision didn't go white. It went black. I did scream. I couldn't help it. The sound was ripped from my throat, a muffled, gagging, animal sound of pure, catastrophic agony. My entire body arched off the ground. And then... it was over. The blinding, grinding, tearing pain was... gone.

*Axel* Maggie’s screaming rips through my silent defenses, and I’m compelled to fling myself to her side. I have to blink furiously to clear my eyes of the nightmare I am clearly witnessing, only to find that it’s all very real. Liam watches in horror as Maggie thrashes around, gurgling out sobs of pain. I try to touch her, but her movements make grabbing a hold of her near impossible.

She shakes but whispers an okay back. "Lena!!!"her mom screams louder. "Damn, she got a big mouth," Patrick says, kissing Lena's head. "She always yelled at me," Lena offers up, holding onto me tight. A knock on the bathroom door makes my wolf growl. He wants to kill her. I mind link Tyler. Both are in our space right now. The power goes back on, and both women shriek. "Mom, we need to go now!"Megan cries out in a panic.

She comments. “I have been at work all day, so I escaped,” I tell her. I grab some sweatpants and a t-shirt and head into the bathroom to change. I come back out and pick up Mariah. I look at her, and I know I am in so much trouble when she gets older. She looks just like her mother. Definitely, Mykayla’s only in a mini version. All of a sudden, a ground-shaking scream reverberates through the entire house. It is not stopping, and the house is trembling. Fuck, I know that scream. I hand Mariah to Mykayla and bolt out the bedroom door and down the stairs. The scream is coming from the rec room. When I get there, Mykenzie and Kylani are standing on the couch screaming bloody murder.
