I have a rehearsed story that I tell people and it's that exact story that they'll find out if they decide to do some digging. “There's not much to tell, my name is Natalie Edmund, I'm an only child, I grew up in Denver, I never knew my father and I lost my mother when I just turned eighteen. I went through a rebellious stage after she died and I ended up pregnant and that was the wake up call that I needed. I enrolled back into school, I went to school through my pregnancy and the boys came at the right time, they came at the start of summer break, so I had three months rest and by the time school resumed I was able to enroll them into a training center for young wolves.

She asked, I nodded in response. “All I know is I can read minds.” I said. "I was five years old when I discovered my ability." She told a story. "Like you I also didn't know I could control the fire, until one day. I just woke up with my body on fire." She said and laughed.

“Sir. I advise you to come, something strange has happened.” Elika gulped, guessing that he was talking to her uncle. What would he do when he found out her power? Would she regret not telling them? “What are you going to tell him?” she asked, nervously glancing around the cell. “I’m not going to tell him anything. You are.” Michael snapped harshly, “otherwise he will force it out of you.” “Their isn’t anything to tell.” She whispered, her lie clear as day. He scowled down at her, “do not lie to me girl.”

It’s said she will go to battle to defeat these creatures and save everyone.” He smiled retelling the story he had read, but for me, this only resembled a nightmare, it was explaining my life.

“Stop using your cryptic descriptions, tell us what we don’t understand!” I pause for a moment, unsure if the moment has finally come to tell the truth of my story. I opened my mouth, intending to start slowly, but the stress of the last few days came tumbling out of my mouth. It felt so good to finally admit to the true story of my rebirth, the violent death I suffered at the hands of Harper and Lucas, the vicious tyranny I witnessed in my past life, and finally the terrible fate I knew they were destined for if they weren’t willing to listen to me.
