Loki said and immediately end the call. Loki is like a child. Little and random things interest him even at an early age. He would get dirty or walk a thousand miles if that is the only way to be with his "educational tool". He got it from his adventurer father. He only sees things and people as some kind of tools to learn more. He likes observing people in their everyday lives, it does not only satisfies his thirst for knowledge and some other things, but it also fulfill his role as a shadow for someone he needs to protect. Avery smirked at him and he rolled his eyes. “Peter, do you know who I am?” She asked, looking at him. He shook his head. “My name is Detective Avery, I was kidnapped by your boss, for reasons known to him alone, not that you need the details, you already know, but I'm also here to arrest your boss.” She said observing his face to see any reaction. "I'm sure you know of the things that your boss has done so far" She said still looking at him, she saw doubt and something else in his eyes

Third Person POV “So you expect us to believe that Luigi is just sitting up in a cabin somewhere in the middle of the Murdock National Forest?” The detective looked at Adonis and Jay with a scrutinizing expression. Of all the places Luigi could be, in the middle of the forest seemed like an odd place. “Willow is there too,” Jay added. “And Logan.” “So you want me to go on a wild goose chase out into the middle of the mountains?” the detective asked. The two men were holding hands, one of them wearing a frilly apron with what appeared to be pancake batter smeared all over it.

Lorenzo and I looked towards the door and saw detectives Halstead and Upton walk in. "Detectives," I stood up. "What can I do for you?" "Well, you can start by introducing your friend to us," Halstead said. "Of course. Detective Halstead, Detective Upton, this is Lorenzo Velasco." Lorenzo nodded at the detectives while they narrowed their eyes at him. "Velasco. As in Emilio Velasco? The rumored mafia Don?" Detective Halstead asked.

I hear Indra come closer, eyeing us. “Do you know any Dereck?” I asked Liam. “No,” he said eyeing Indra from the corner of his eye. “Liam, you can’t just take this lightly,” Eloise spoke up, also standing up. Loki's P.O.V. The skyline of Chicago loomed in the distance, its jagged edges punctuated by the faint glow of the setting sun. Loki sat in the back seat of his sleek black car, gazing out at the city with a mix of disdain and anticipation. "He stole my cheesecake," Loki frowned at the memory. "I caught him, though. But the cheesecake's gone. He received quite the beating."

The way I left everything; I was amazed he wasn’t yelling down my throat. “I’m good. Thanks for asking.” “When Captain Bridges said he had the perfect guy for us, I sure as hell wasn’t expecting you,” he chuckled. I awkwardly laughed in agreeance before pausing, trying to plan my next words carefully. “I wasn’t expecting to be back here. I uh… I’m sorry for how I left everything. I really…” “Save it,” he cuts in. “That was the past. Right now, we have bigger fish to fry. I have you partnered with Detective Lopez for the time being.”

Now, thinking of certain hypothesis like why would this guy knows such a thing. To be honest, I, myself, knew nothing about the rumor and how did they found out I'm after their DIAMOND. With minutes of deduction, finally summing up a conclusion that this guy I'm dancing with tonight is no other but a 'Detective'. His presence is quite rare or it shouldn't even exist in my WORLD.
