He shook his head. “My name is Detective Avery, I was kidnapped by your boss, for reasons known to him alone, not that you need the details, you already know, but I'm also here to arrest your boss.” She said observing his face to see any reaction. "I'm sure you know of the things that your boss has done so far" She said still looking at him, she saw doubt and something else in his eyes

Third Person POV “So you expect us to believe that Luigi is just sitting up in a cabin somewhere in the middle of the Murdock National Forest?” The detective looked at Adonis and Jay with a scrutinizing expression. Of all the places Luigi could be, in the middle of the forest seemed like an odd place. “Willow is there too,” Jay added. “And Logan.” “So you want me to go on a wild goose chase out into the middle of the mountains?” the detective asked. The two men were holding hands, one of them wearing a frilly apron with what appeared to be pancake batter smeared all over it.

She pointed to the silver sedan with a partial plate visible. “The guy in the picture, I know him from somewhere.” Lorenzo grabbed the laptop and zoomed out to get a good look at the man seated across from Vito, “I just can’t recall.” He racked his brain, but his memory honestly hadn’t been all that since he woke up from the coma. “I hate to bring her into this, but does Lym’s brother still work for the LAPD?” Serenity bit her lip. He was one of the detectives on the case involving the attack and fire at the warehouse, he was also one of the Mafia’s moles in the police department.

"You're here to observe me. I don't have time to teach you anything." "Why is that?" I heard an all too familiar voice say. Lorenzo and I looked towards the door and saw detectives Halstead and Upton walk in. "Detectives," I stood up. "What can I do for you?" "Well, you can start by introducing your friend to us," Halstead said. "Of course. Detective Halstead, Detective Upton, this is Lorenzo Velasco." Lorenzo nodded at the detectives while they narrowed their eyes at him. "Velasco. As in Emilio Velasco? The rumored mafia Don?" Detective Halstead asked.

I hear Indra come closer, eyeing us. “Do you know any Dereck?” I asked Liam. “No,” he said eyeing Indra from the corner of his eye. “Liam, you can’t just take this lightly,” Eloise spoke up, also standing up. We were all on our feet. “What if this is a threat?” “He knew my father,” Liam said quietly. “Check the last message,” I scrolled through the endless messages until I came across the name. Detective Logan Kendrick.

Loki's P.O.V. The skyline of Chicago loomed in the distance, its jagged edges punctuated by the faint glow of the setting sun. Loki sat in the back seat of his sleek black car, gazing out at the city with a mix of disdain and anticipation. Chicago was a place of power plays, betrayals, and whispered schemes a playground for someone like him. Donavan and Aibek were handling their respective tasks, ensuring the smooth flow of weapons and drugs through the veins of the underworld. Those commodities had always been in demand, but demand brought jealousy, and jealousy often festered into defiance. Fin was the latest example.

“Oh, thank the Celestial Heavens! Because if you didn’t like Luci, you wouldn’t have liked the other nickname I gave you.” Loki’s head shot up, crawling to the end of his bed, yet far enough so I did not strangle the little prick. “What’s the other nickname?” he giggled. “Lurch.” Loki and I looked at each other, not understanding the new name. “You know, from the Addams Family? ‘Their creepy and their kookie, mysterious and spooky….” Uriel continued to sing the theme song from the human television show, Loki rolling on the bed with his arms on his stomach, laughing.

Quintina could not believe that they were on the same team. Loki was dressed in a grey robe. A slight grin crept up on his somewhat handsome face as he said, “How do you do, Ms. Quintina?” Demetrius smirked. “This elixir is now ours. Do you have any objections?”

But that wasn’t before it revealed a pair of bright pupils staring at the rapidly retreating figure of the God of Destruction. “I must find a city first,” Shiva mumbled as his feet crossed the desert faster than a man could drink some water. He didn’t know what this world was. The dastardly Loki had tossed him here without any information – though it wasn’t like he had asked for it in the first place. The God of Destruction may be bloodthirsty and greedy – among many other things – but he wasn’t grossly idiotic. He needed information and the cities were his best bet.

I added as we headed towards the kitchen. "Tea if you don't mind Dee." Lorenzo said and I nodded. I started making tea and coffee while I heard Ash and Lorenzo talk. "So Mr. Ketchum what do you do as a living?" Lorenzo asked and I rolled my eyes hoping Ash won't mind Lorenzo's questions "I own a business franchise. What about you? And please call me Ash" Ash said and Lorenzo nodded "I own a private investigation agency in London. And it's Lorenzo" I saw Ash's eyes widen a little "Do you mean the famous Berlitz Investigations?"
