The body hit the ground with a dull thud.
Loki stood tall now, fully awake, fully restored.
And fully terrifying.
I stood still, arms at my sides, masking the tremble in my fingers.
He turned to me.
A slow, predatory smile spread across his face.
"One man," he said, voice like velvet wrapped around a dagger. "Do you think that’s enough?"

He stepped closer. The coffin groaned behind him, shutting itself with a heavy slam. The sound echoed like a final sentence.
