I reached for the jar, but as my fingers brushed the glass, a pulse of violet mana flickered under my fingernails. It was a brief, jagged spark, gone before I could even blink, but the damage was done. The air around the cauldron rippled, the ozone scent of the Labyrinth momentarily overwhelming the smell of lavender.
