“Tell her about the cart, Marisol.” Moments later, a small cartwheeled into view. It held veils, belts, and jackets. Each piece whispered possibilities. I selected an elbow-length lace veil, and they pinned it into my swept-back hair. Layers of illusion fell around my shoulders. When I faced the mirror, I gasped. The veil softened the sleekness and tied my vision together. I saw myself—still professional, still elegant—but vulnerable and radiant, too. Camille and Marisol shared a small triumphant glance.

Urshia explained then closed the door gently to give her the privacy to get dressed. A granola coloured blocked ankle length dress made from rich chiffon, a plain v-neckline, a short regular sleeves, fitted waistline and a shiny back zipper. That is the only presentable dress she has in her whole closet that will look a little tidy and attractive to see the royal family with. A fawn veil is just beside it then her loafers since prom, she totally forgot about it till then and surprisingly, it matched her outfit whole. She pulled it over her head and face. Next, she placed her right hand into the sleeve and carefully adjusted her fingers into the attached gloves. She pushed her arm out and moved the veil so as to avoid any fabric overlaps or wrinkles. She did the same with her left arm and hand then pulled the veil down over her bare back to her waist. The skirt flowed in light layers of ivory satin covered with tulle, moving gracefully with every step. The long train extended across the floor, decorated with lace and small crystals that caught the light, creating a soft glow. The veil, also made of fine tulle, was fastened to my hair with a silver tiara adorned with crystals and pearls, adding a touch of elegance without stealing the spotlight.

She walked behind me and placed it in my bun before straightening it. It had a bit of a train but not too much. The dress only reached the floor but had no train so this was a good substitute.

I smiled as I walked into the closet and Velia and Diana helped me put it on. The base of the gown was a rich, deep shade of royal blue, akin to the vast, starry night sky. It shimmered with a subtle luminescence as if tiny stars were embedded within the fabric itself. The gown was designed to flow gracefully around my figure, accentuating my natural elegance and poise.

Sam sprayed on some perfume and looked at herself in the mirror. She touched her dark blue robe that matched her light blue and pearl-toned wardrobe. She highlighted her hazel eyes with black eyeliner and white shadow. She had put on lipstick, even though no one was going to see her lips, but it was to keep them moisturized. Her hair looked beautiful and silky, although only part of it was showing because the veil covered most of her face including her hair. She had changed a lot since Arthur took her to the estate, she was no longer disheveled and her hair didn't look like a bird's nest.

Charlie stepped toward it and felt her skin prickle, the same electric pressure she felt before a storm breaks. "What is that?" she whispered. "A ward," Wren said. "My mother specializes in them."
