Completely overwhelmed, without whatever magic voodoo calming touch Oscar and Xander just pulled off, I start spiralling again. Luna Allison quickly grabs a robe off the back of the door, wrapping me in it before pulling me into her arms on the bathroom floor. She holds me tightly, cradling me like I’m a little kid again, and we stay there for goddess knows how long. I cry until I can't anymore, and the whole time, she's rubbing my arm, whispering soothing words as I sob into her shoulder. Finally, the tears dry up, leaving me a hiccupping mess of silence. “Want to talk about it?” she asks softly, giving me the space to decide.

“I’ve missed you so much.” And just like that - everyone’s crying. Gabby’s tearing up. Maria’s openly weeping. Even Gino, the iron old bastard, holds her like he’s trying to keep her from breaking apart, his own eyes glassy with unshed tears. But Sareena’s full-on sobbing, makeup streaking like black war paint down her cheeks.

Because of his touch, Lyra felt increasingly sick, her stomach roiling, unable to contain the nausea. Seeing her reaction, Ronan finally stepped away from her. He reached out to pull Lyra up, frowning as he saw her tear-streaked eyes. He brushed aside her disheveled hair, his voice husky with confusion and concern. "Why are you crying? Did you feel uncomfortable just now?" Lyra didn't speak, just continued to sob quietly, tears streaming down her face. "Be good, I'll be gentler next time." Ronan sighed softly, pinching her chin to kiss away her tears.

“She is a clown, thinking a high profile individual like me would want her. She’s useless to me.” Kira smirked, and Noelle suddenly had the urge to do something reckless. Something that could sooth the pain she was feeling, but she felt too weak to. Acting on impulse would only do more harm. She listened one more time. “I never had feelings for that pale girl. I will always choose you over anyone, my Luna.” They joined lips again. Noelle didn’t wait to hear more. She ran. The stream…it always calmed her. She ran through the dark night till she made it to the stream. Then she let the tears fall. She didn’t try to hold back. She hunched and cried hard.

She pressed Morgan's hand against her forehead. And burst into tears. The sight punched me directly in the gut. “I'm so mad at you,” she whispered through her tears. “Do you know how fucking scared I was?” I looked away for a second. Not because I didn't want to see her cry. Because suddenly my own eyes were burning. Luna Allison sniffled and wiped her face. “You're supposed to be the doctor, remember? You're supposed to be the one telling the rest of us we're being dramatic.”

She has been silently crying for twenty minutes now. Lola held the pillow and sobbed, biting the pillow and trembling. Her eyelashes were clumped together from the wetness, and her light golden hair stood on end. Her expression looked a lot like the popular "crying cat" meme on the internet, but her posture was more like a helpless golden retriever hugging a peanut.

I feel bad because ultimately, I’d have to let Luna go and she’ll be the one to console the girl, dealing with more tears and the aftermath of it all. I didn’t want Luna to know I’m crying as well, despite it being impossible to do so. Instead of making it heard though, I bit lower lip to stop myself from letting out a sound, allowing the tears to cascade down my face instead. We remained in that position for a few seconds, simply crying in each other’s arms. We may have seemed pathetic even to others, but I couldn’t care less.

No more side distractions. “Luna, are you okay? You keep crying,” Kira asks worriedly, re-applying my make-up. I didn't even realize I was crying. “I'm fine. I'm not crying, something must have fallen into my eyes,” I lie with a heavy heart.

I manage, stepping back quickly, my hands coming up to rub at my eyes which only makes it worse. Sera spins around, sees me with tears streaming down my face, and bursts out laughing. "Oh my god, the onions!" "It's not funny," I say, my voice thick, more tears spilling over. "It's a little funny." Luna appears in the kitchen doorway, takes one look at me, and starts giggling. "Daddy, why are you crying?" "I'm not crying. The onions—" I wipe uselessly at my face. "You're definitely crying," Luna says, delighted.

Luna sat down next to me, her hand resting affectionately on mine and squeezing it in an attempt to give me strength and encouragement. “If you can't talk, don't,” Luna said gently, and I closed my eyes tightly. “But you have to cry. Whatever is bothering you, you're going to let it out by crying. I know because I can see that you're holding back more than you think. I can sense a deep sadness, and that can only be released if you cry with all your strength.” And that's what I did. I cried over the curse that had fallen upon me, and I cried over the loneliness of my soul.
