Then he shouted—loud enough to echo off every damn wall. “LORIEN’S ALIVE!” Silence. My breath caught. “What did you say?” “He’s alive,” Iris gasped, scrambling forward on his knees. “I swear it! I saw him! He was there—in the fire—he fought like hell—he’s not dead, Alpha! He’s not—”

She did not explain anything else to Zach, and Zach did not ask anymore questions. Zach had already thought it through. As long as Lori could help him get closer to Sebastian, and even get rid of Sabrina, why did he need to ask any questions? Drake and Kha protested, saying she should stay, but Lori shook her head. "No, I think Eve has it from here. I'm going back to your fathers before they kill each other because I'm not there. She's right, sons. You have to figure this out before you turn into them... or turn her into me." Once Lori left, Drake and Kha looked completely lost. I let Kha pull me back to him.
