Before I knew it, my back hit the bed and he carefully took my dress off before throwing it somewhere. _____________________________________________________________________ The last leaf of the fall disconnected from the now dark gray tree. Its orange colors knowing it soon would become dead once it reached the almost frozen floor. Winter wind blew rapidly around, tossing the dried leaves back and forth. Snowflakes drizzled and clung to everything they grabbed, the floor becoming too frozen to thaw through it anymore. In just a few days, every inch of the earth around us would be covered in many layers of snow. The cold chill that ran through everyone's spine came with some benefits though.

I try to stand, pulling myself up the trunk of the rowan, but the wind keeps knocking me off my feet. I need to reach Meena! Yet I can't even find my own footing! Leaves and branches fly through the space, scratching at my skin, tearing my clothes. Meena is inches away, though it might as well have been miles. Terror is in Meena's eyes, and I try again to stand, but as I reach my feet, I'm pulled up into the air, thrown like a rag doll between the battering winds. What is going on? I am like a goddamn feather in a hurricane! Is Meena okay? Everything goes black as my stomach jumps into my throat because my body is falling through empty space.

Back then, she had been captured by the Spirale Clan, leaving behind only a letter before disappearing without a trace. Winter must have been worried sick. Snowy sighed. Then, as she looked up, she froze in shock. At the far end of the street, a familiar figure flashed past. "Winter!" Snowy called out and rushed after her. She weaved through street after street, eventually reaching a park. By the lake pavilion, she finally saw the familiar figure standing there. "Winter…" Snowy slowly walked forward. Inside the pavilion was Winter. "Winter! It's really you!" Snowy's face lit up with joy and disbelief. She dashed forward and threw her arms around her, holding her tightly.

No. Agony detonated in my chest and a sound I didn’t recognize ripped from my throat. Liga thrashed wildly in my psyche, howling his protest so loudly my skull ached. It had taken everything to convince him to help manipulate snow into falling in love with us. I knew Liga would never forgive me if his mate died. My eyes moved to my mate. Snow was as still as death on the bed, her skin so pale it almost blended with the sheets. She looked like a doll, like some delicate, breakable thing that had never belonged in my brutal world. And now, she was slipping through my fingers.

jumped into the jungle. But.... Jenny controlled her breathing, not letting herself suck in too much cold wind. The heavy snowfall blurred her vision, letting her speed gradually slow down. She gritted her teeth and took in the wind and snow. But He was her strong gray wolf. Even though she knew it was dangerous, she couldn't just ignore him. She knew, from the plot of the book, that Gray Wolf Mister Nick was probably dead. But if she could have changed the plot to his side, he should have survived.

They were two halves of a single creature, and I was the prey that had wandered into their den. On the fourth morning, the snow began. By noon, it was waist-deep. By evening, the world had vanished into white silence. "We're snowed in," Devin announced, pressing his palm to the frosted window. "Could be a week. Maybe more." A week. Alone with two wolves who looked at me like I was a meal they were savoring. I retreated to the bedroom, but they followed. Atticus built up the fire while Devin sat on the edge of the bed, not quite touching me, but close enough that I could feel his body heat through the layers of wool and flannel.

Henry and I hastened our pace as well. ...... Late at night, Snowland, perpetually plagued by ice and snow, suddenly grew quiet. However, the more subdued it became, the more unsettling the atmosphere. Pedestrians were scarce on the streets. The silence was abruptly shattered by the eerie howling of wolves. Henry and I stood by the river, with the bound Gamma Leavis of the Snowwolf Pack and his troops by our side. "Look, I have no intention of causing harm to your lives," I declared as I stepped forward, locking eyes with Leavis, who stubbornly resisted my gaze. "On the contrary, I'm here to help you."

She'd loved playing in the snow as a child or just watching it fall, but that was before she started getting the visions. Now, snow, especially the first snow, always filled her with longing and reminders of a sad memory. A memory that was hers, but at the same time, wasn’t. Now the snow which was once her favorite thing ever just made her restless, miserable, and always clouded her with a shroud of deep sadness. Especially the first snow. Scarlett's lips lifted in a tiny grimace as she recalled a day she gave in to the pressure and cried. Though it would’ve been laughable to anyone, there was nothing remotely funny about it to her. Because she was someone with a connection to her past life.

The world around them was silent save for the steady patter of rain. "Allen," Serene said softly, breaking the silence. "I don’t have a home anymore." The butler stopped pushing the wheelchair. Allen, too, halted and looked at her. "My mother is gone, my sister is in prison, and my father barely comes home anymore. He’s too busy training someone else to take over the family. I’m alone." She opened her mouth as if to say more, but no words came. What could she say? This sense of isolation wasn’t new; it had always been the undercurrent of their relationship. Perhaps that realization was why she suddenly let out a dry, bitter laugh.

“Hahaha! Zach, you’re actually begging for her head? Hahaha! To think you’d end up in this state, Zach! “You’ve always acted as if you were above everyone else. Your life while you were young might have been full of hardship, but after that, you had a smooth sail in life. Well? How does it feel to lose everything and have someone else walk all over you? Does it hurt? But I still won’t tell you where she is. “Still, I’ll give you a hint. The mute girl you’ve been missing dearly has always been beside you.”
