Goodbye Forever, Mom
She'd already made peace with dying before she ever walked in that day.
There was a heavy, final thud, and my mother hit the ground, broken beyond recognition.
Strangely, it looked almost exactly like how I'd died.
Watching my own mother die right in front of me, I couldn't find any peace in my heart for a long, long time.
It was only once I realized my soul had been set free again that I was able to leave that heartbroken place behind.
I never wanted her to end this whole mess in a way so final, so without hope, because by then, none of it mattered to me anymore anyway.
