I hold her against me, breathe in her scent of child, of sleep, of life.
"Mommy, we took a super nap with Marcus! He told us a story before falling asleep! It was so good!"
"Really?" I ask, looking at Marcus.
"The story of the little bear looking for his mommy," he says. "They loved it."
"And then we fell asleep," adds Léon, waking up in turn. "Marcus fell asleep too. He snores a little."
"I don't snore," protests Marcus.
"Yes, a little," confirms Lola. "But it's cute."
