The Bane And The Alpha Beast
Not blinding.
But unmistakable.
A soft, silvery light pulsed faintly beneath my skin, tracing my palms like living veins.
“Oh my god,” I breathed.
He reached out and took my hands.
The glow flared instantly—brighter, warmer, spreading.
“Well,” he said quietly, eyes fixed on them, “this must be the infamous glowy thing.”
My pulse thundered. “How is this happening?”
“And,” I added, panic creeping in, “why isn’t it stopping? Usually the second I realize it, it stops.”
