The Borders of Love
“Naomi, my mom knows that she’s in the wrong now. Can’t you forgive her? I’m the one at fault. I shouldn’t have faked a marriage with Liam, much less let my mother and relatives cause that mess at your house.
“I’ll do whatever you want! Just don’t sue my mother!”
I raised my eyebrows in amusement. “Oh? Is that true? What if I want Liam to walk away from our marriage empty-handed?”
Liam and Heather stared at me in disbelief.
To them, I had always been gentle and agreeable.
Unbeknownst to Liam, there was a condition to that gentle and agreeable nature: I had to love him.
Since I loved him in the past, I was willing to listen to him.
