Little Dead Red

Little Dead Red

The hunter’s shine from earlier melted and turned into tears, which ran down her cheeks and dropped onto the freshly polished floor. “Come on,” Glenn said, and he took her hand gently. He put a steadying hand on her back and walked with her through the doors. “But you can’t leave your desk,” Dead Marie said. “What if you get in trouble?” Glenn laughed, and it was a beautiful thing. There was sunshine again. She could feel it on her skin, and squinted at the sky. “I’ll be all right. And so will you. If you need anything, I’m always here. All right? I mean it.”

Mr. CEO, Your Miracle Doctor Ex-Wife is Unreachable

Mr. CEO, Your Miracle Doctor Ex-Wife is Unreachable

Halden pushed the hatch open and dropped into the lower corridor. The space below was darker than the decks above, lit only by thin strips of emergency lighting along the floor. It felt older, more industrial. Pipes ran overhead like veins. The hum of machinery was louder here, closer to the skin. The ship’s voice returned, low and pleased. “Welcome to the lower decks.” Elara muttered, “God, I hate you.” “Hatred is a form of focus,” it replied. “Thank you.” Rios made a small sound—half laugh, half sob. “It’s… It’s mocking us.”

Until I Wrote Him

Until I Wrote Him

The scent of lacquer mixes with sea salt and something uniquely me. “The Sovereign has three decks,” I explained. “Above, where the world can see. Mid, where the world thinks it understands. Below…where truth can’t reach.” Her skin prickles; I can feel it. “Sounds cheerful,” she mutters. “Only if you lack imagination,” I reply, letting my gaze linger on her spine. The curve. The tension in her shoulders. Dangerous, delicious tension. We reach the lower deck. Cabins, minimalistic perfection.

Alpha Team - The First To Fall

Alpha Team - The First To Fall

There is also a gym, a pool and a two lane bowling ally with a full bar and arcade games one level below us. On the floor above is the open concept living room, kitchen and dining area. The floor above that is the parking lot, a large office and the armoury. We may be officially retired, but on occasion we can be coaxed into a job for the right reason and right price. Although, it’s getting easier and easier to say no. Especially with what we are working on right here on our doorstep. Antonellia’s card was already marked, but that fucker just tied his own noose. ‘Where you at? We thought she might like something to eat?” Jackson mind links me.

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The sub-basement of the Sterling Tower was not designed for human habitation. It was a labyrinth of steam pipes, reinforced concrete pillars, and the hum of massive HVAC units. But below that—below the "official" blueprints—lay the domain of the Rat King. Jack stepped out of the freight elevator into the humid, cloying air of Sub-Level 5. The smell hit him instantly: a mix of rust, old water, and... fresh pastries? "Grog!" Jack called out, his voice echoing in the gloom.

Leesa's Advent

Leesa's Advent

“This way, guys and gals.” Jordy leads us toward the stern of the boat. Now that we’re onboard, a flurry of activity begins to take place on the ship. The anchor is hoisted and sailors start unfurling the sails. Jordy stops next to an open hatch in the deck. “Down here,” he says. He descends the wooden ladder first, followed by Radar and then me. The rest of our friends climb down behind us. Below decks, a large, dimly lit open space stretches toward the front of the ship. Faint light filters in through a row of glass portholes on either side. The place smells and feels damp, which should come as no big surprise to anyone.

The Transcendent Zombie System

The Transcendent Zombie System

The 30 over Rank 3 Undead Skeletal Heavy Swordsmen fixed their eyes on Lucas, looking forward to hearing his reply. Lucas smiled and said after a few seconds, "Is there anything scary about the Underworld Stream?" "Hahaha!!!" The 30 over Rank 3 Undead Skeletal Heavy Swordsmen burst into loud laughter. It was as though they had never heard such a ridiculous joke before. "Is it really that hilarious?" Lucas' stunning face had a puzzled look on it.

I genuinely love this book, only problems I have with it is the fact that he never actually travels with the people he gets to join him (hattie Mia etc) I wish there were more interaction between them all. second is that there are only 2 or so chapters a day....I have plenty of coins to waste...

Let me Go! Mr Billionaire

Let me Go! Mr Billionaire

“Geez, what’s wrong? Are we on fire or something?” He ignored the attempt at humor, as well as the look of puzzlement on her face. Stabbing one finger against the glass-covered ship plans, he said only, “Look at this.” She hurried across the room, glanced at the plans, then shifted a look at him. “What exactly am I looking at?” “This.” He tapped his finger against the lowest deck on the diagram. “The Riviera Deck.” “Uh-huh.” “There are people staying down there.” “Oh.”

Louisa Unchained

Mick pointed at the bottom hand and said, "We're here Beta." "Not really," Lucian said. "But we can't possibly be at the top, either," Lynel said. "No, you are not," Lucian said. "So where are we?" "You two are not even on the ladder. This is the ladder. This is fifty floors below the ladder and you two are fifty floors below that," Lucian pointed at the ground. "Wow, phew. That's over a hundred floors, Beta," Mick looked a bit awkward and said. "And plus a ladder. It must be a very long ladder. It seems that we're very lousy," Lynel added.
