Sebastian reached for his phone on the side table, his fingers tapping the screen and a small smirk played on his lips as he glanced at me. “Lucas just texted. He’s downstairs already,” he said, setting the phone back down. I turned, raising an eyebrow. “I thought we agreed I’d drive myself?” “I told him not to worry about taking you,” Sebastian replied with a shrug, his smirk widening, “but you know Lucas. He insists. He probably wants to play chauffeur to make sure you’re treated like royalty.” I chuckled, shaking my head. “Lucas is impossible.” “He’s just protective. Can’t blame him for that.”

Celeste explained taking a seat on the little plush chair opposite the office door. “I know I’m the last person you wanted to tell this so why are you telling me this and not Ev. Thought you guys were best buddies?” Lucian drawled. Fuck buddies was more the term he’d prefer to use.
