“Not feel my grandchild growing in her womb and thus have a grasp of you, Lucianus?” I swallowed. “She’s… in danger. She’s with hunters.” “Of that, I am sure,” he said and drew back. “But you need not worry about that. I will enjoy my grandchild after she is awakened.” “Awakened?” “She is a descendant of mine by blood, not by siring,” he said easily. “She needs only the right push to reach her full potential as a vampire. I have instructed them to do what must be done.” “She is… fragile,” I said. “What if she does not survive it? Mentally? She will not be the Trinity she was.”

I looked at Lena and took a deep breath to start my speech. “Hello, members of the Luceres Pack! Thank you for gathering here today! Let me formally introduce myself to you, although I’ve interacted with most of you already. I am Zephyrus Averoff, the sole descendant of Alpha Demetrios Averoff and Luna Odessa. Lucania is my home and I will lay my life to protect my homeland and my pack! You mean everything to me. I am here to fulfill my father’s dream of seeing his beloved Lucerians grow and prosper. Bu

Lucifer asked as I sucked in a breath. I looked down at the scar on my wrist, and the memory of the Fates’ touch was still vivid. “Because Mordecai was supposed to be the virtue of temperance when they destroyed my original realm,” I said as the memory of losing Mordecai when he was, a baby played in my mind. “Wait, so you knew your family would be one of the bloodlines of the Prophecy?” King Lucifer asked as I nodded. “Yes, we are one of the first Vampire families still around, and Mordecai and Luis were all the last of our lines.” I said as I thought of the TimeKeepers’ words.

‘What does it mean Sir if I may ask,’ the young girl asked exposing her white teeth. ‘It’s the exact opposite of Meritocracy, the governance system that purely depends on one’s achievement in society. This is the virus that was inherited from the west in an inverted order. I hope you realize that not all viruses are harmful to human life like the bacteriophages in our intestines. Depending on the host, a virus can be either hostile or friendly.’ ‘I’m not getting you sir!’ her smile was fading and slowly she sunk back in her chair. ‘I know young lady, how is Mr. Mwanza in Chongwe?’ the visitor inquired changing the topic briefly to allow the lady digest his words.

“Have they been hiding their true nature from you all this time?” “I... I don’t understand.” “Some are bitten. They change later. Hybrids. Half human. Half beast. But you... you were born this way. You’re a Pureblood. A true Lycan. And your ichor, your blood, carries traits of a lineage I don’t even recognize. That intrigues me. Fascinates me. I thought I’d seen everything. But you… you’re different.” Everything around me started spinning. The forest, the sky, the leaves, all of it whirled. My stomach turned, my feet lost the ground. I felt like I was about to fall. To faint. To vanish inside myself.

Damon felt cold settle in his veins. “What are you saying?” Cassian gestured lightly. “The Third Chamber does not only read power. It reads "inheritance.” Lucian frowned. “Explain.” Cassian’s voice grew quieter. “The unborn child will inherit dominance from the true Alpha line.” Damon’s stomach tightened. “And you think that line is Lucian’s,” he said. Cassian nodded. Lucian stepped forward sharply. “That changes nothing. Damon is the father.” Cassian raised an eyebrow.

I answered and I could see that the lycan king was getting furious. "Ryan, do you have a worth as a wolf?." The Lycan king asked with an authoritative tone and Ryan nodded in the affirmative immediately. "So what makes you think she doesn't have a worth? If she doesn't have a worth to you, she has a worth to others and I must say that you don't deserve her. That's by the way, so you brought her to take sexual advantage of?. " The Lycan king asked and Ryan shaked his head in the negative.

James locked his gaze on Lucifer. Lucifer was too unusual. He was the son of the Demon Emperor. He was the sole descendant of the Demon Emperor. With such an identity, he would always be a blasphemous presence, no matter where he was. “I saved you, and you want to kill me?” questioned James. “No.”
