I held Daisy and turned her face away from the scene before us. The redhead murmured something in his ear and I saw his eyes go wide before she let him go and he went running the alternate way.

Lilly looked around. “Don’t worry about it, dear. Darcy will keep an eye on them. They smell like frat boys passing through. They’ll be here tomorrow or in a couple of days depending on their speed. That’s why I got the diner. I’ve got the best nose in the pack.” Daisy tapped her nose. Chuckling, Lilly glanced out at the dance floor. Layla was dancing with a human male. Her friend deserved so much happiness. “Lewis is not her mate,” Daisy said, cutting into her thoughts.

He asked, handing Daisy the beautiful bouquet of lilies. Leonardo still remembered that lilies were her favorite flowers. Hayley's heart swelled with emotion, though her expression remained stoic. Daisy accepted the bouquet with a warm smile, responding, "Of course. I will. Uncle Damian..." She called out suddenly.
