The sight of a brown curly head of hair popping up a few inches above the couch gives him pause. Changing direction, Luke vigorously rubs his hand on top of it as if he's polishing the lamp of a genie, and the head ducks under the pressure. "Hey, buddy. What's up?" Luke says. James is startled and nearly drops his Nintendo Switch as he turns to see who is interrupting him. "Luke?" Who else would it be? "Yep. Hi! What game are you playing?" Luke asks, trying to make small talk. James looks down at the screen in his lap and then back at Luke. "Minecraft."
