But Yarrow simply smiled, a knowing, dangerous smile. "We shall see." He raised his hand, and a bolt of lightning shot from his fingertips, striking Luke square in the chest. Luke screamed, his body convulsing as the energy coursed through him. And then, as suddenly as it had begun, it was over. Luke lay on the ground, his body smoking, his eyes vacant and lifeless.
