The wolfsblane seemed to keep the sire bond at bay and for the first time in a long time, I felt like the old me. I headed to the bathroom but heard a whiny feminine voice downstairs that I had never heard before. I decided to not pay any attention until I heard her voice call Brett’s name. “But Brett you said I would be your chosen mate!” This mysterious voice declared. Now I knew exactly who she was. “No Alicia I didn’t, you just assumed that!” I could tell by his tone he was already getting frustrated with her. “I have found my fated mate and she will be my Luna.” I smile at his words, until I hear his father.

Was the only thing said as she laughed before leaving. I turned off the memory playing in my head. I get up and make my way to my bed. I plop down and sink into the old soft mattress. I wish it would swallow me up and muffle out Jessica's babbling. His father tried to reason. As they spoke, his mother walked into his office. His mother, the luna of the pack, Caua Wolf was a woman in her early fourties. She was only a little over five foot which made her very short compared to her husband and son. She had long brown hair and brown eyes that shone whenever she spoke. She also had very soft features. She was a caring mother and a kind luna. All the people of the pack love her for her good heart, and Rodriguez loved his mom more than anyone else.

END FLASHBACK Since that night, we have made plenty of male and female friends in this pack. We have no issues with jealousy or unmated males trying to hook-up. Maya stepped beside him — not behind. “Then let them.”

And although his lips has been set in a firm stern line all through, it still surprised me how someone could look this good. I hate to admit it but I felt my cheeks flush the longer I stared at him, and if he hadn’t cleared up his throat, breaking the silence just in time, I wasn’t sure how far I would’ve fallen for him. “I don’t have the time to beat around the bush,” He raised a document I hadn’t realized was in his hand and slammed it onto the table right in front of me so loudly it sent a jolt through me that I hadn’t seen coming. “I want you as my Luna.” His words struck me like a thunderclap, rendering me momentarily dumbfounded.
