I walked over to the small bar in the corner of the room, my hands trembling as I poured two glasses of wine. I had to steady myself, reminding myself that this was for the greater good. I slipped the small vial of sleeping potion into his glass, watching as it dissolved quickly, leaving no trace.
I turned back to Jeremy, handing him the glass. "To us," I said, raising my glass in a toast.
"To us," he resounded, clinking his glass against mine. He took a sip, and I followed suit, my heart pounding in my chest.
