After Divorce: Ex-wife Never Turns Back

After Divorce: Ex-wife Never Turns Back

Steel gray, unflinching, and still able to pierce through deception like sunlight through morning fog. Outside, Lyla's voice drifted down the hallway. She was telling someone—probably the chef—that she wanted the grapefruit served peeled and halved, “not quartered like a roadside diner.” I stifled a sigh. Lyla was a woman of particular tastes, high-pitched grievances, and expensive taste in everything from wine to handbags. She was not the first woman to flit through Charles’ life, but she had lasted the longest. I suspected it was because she truly did love him, though she had the emotional range of a soap dish and the subtlety of a fire alarm.

Havent started the book yet but I did add it to my list for the TITLE alone hehe I’m really hoping the ex wife really never turns back but I’ll come back & leave an actual review when I start reading. But for the title alone is 5-Stars to me lol hoping the FL actually has a back bone

Dear readers, thank you for your supports! I'm sorry—this is indeed bit of a long story. But I promise I'll give this story a perfect ending. Plus, I personally love the plot design of the latter half of the story, hehe^^ You are welcome to leave comments and share your thoughts!

The Apocalypse Hoarder

The Apocalypse Hoarder

Cyrus studied the woman before him, someone who barely qualified as a so-called strong career woman, and asked with mild curiosity, "You are alone. For a woman in the apocalypse, survival is difficult. What, no husband?" Lyla shook her head with a bitter smile. "We divorced long ago." "Oh. So you are alone." She shook her head again. "Not exactly. I have a daughter. She has been studying in Libertia since she was ten, at a noble school." At the mention of her daughter, Lyla's eyes brightened.

Sold To The Cruel Alpha

As Sarah noticed his reflections are gone she reached for the envelope. ************************************* A light shines very brightly revealing a forest filled with trees. Lyla saw herself amongst the humans as she was tied to a tree and her eyes were a bit dim as they were just opening up. "Kill her! She is a beast." shouted one of the humans with anger. "They murdered my wife and my daughter. Murderer!!!" Lyla's eyes suddenly opened and when she was able to see well. She saw the old man who took her in and was the person to make the statement.

Hilary

Hilary

We left the cafeteria, Hilary's heels tripping across the polished hardwood. I am about to hop in my Geely LC GB M/T when I heard my tire explode. I immediately run towards the back of my car where I heard the explosion. "Flat tires?" Hilary asks and I nod to reply. "Get inside the car, I'll accompany you," She said while pointing her index finger to her car. I slowly went inside her Ford Mustang 5.0L V8 GT Specs while drawing a smile on my face. Darn! I have to seize the moment.

SILVERFURS HEIRESS MATED TO THE ENEMY ALPHA

We must exercise caution. Suddenly, a rustling in the underbrush caught their attention. Kyra and Damon drew their weapons, their senses on high alert. A figure emerged from the shadows, and Kyra's heart skipped a beat. It was a young woman, clearly frightened and disheveled. She held up her hands in a gesture of surrender. "Please, don't hurt me. I'm not one of them." Kyra stepped forward hesitantly. "Who are you?" The female inhaled deeply. "Lyla is my name. Even though the rogues took me, I was able to get away. They have a major attack on your pack planned." Kyra's thoughts were racing. "When? What is the number of them?"

Carefree God of War

Carefree God of War

Georgia said apologetically. Thomas waved and said, “No need. We just have to sit here quietly for a few minutes. I believe Mrs. Diaz will figure it out.” Huh? She would figure it out? Georgia chuckled in resignation. “Mr. Mayo, I guess you don’t understand Lyla’s character. She’s a little princess who’s been spoiled by my brother. Although she’s in her forties, her character’s no different from a kid. “You want her to figure it out? It’s absolutely impossible.”

The story is fast paced unlike most of the stories. I am thrilled to read each chapter. While the plot is similar with other novels of the same genre, I love the way the author develops each character. I also love it very much that chapters are longer and require less coins to open.

I don't think it is right to just quit from ur title being god of war. You have so much effort and sacrifices just to be in that title. Hardships in life will not end how can you depend your love ones if you are that powerless. Maybe you can leave temporarily but not resigned.

THE PROMISED SAVIOUR

THE PROMISED SAVIOUR

Her thoughts circled endlessly around one person—Lylah. Since the last confrontation Lylah had with her son which resulted in her most recent heartbreak, Lylah had been reduced to a ghost. She moved quietly, barely spoke, and spent most of her time alone. Her restricted access in the house now mirrored her internal state—isolated, bitter, and grieving. It was hard to blame her. Angela had seen the bruises the world had dealt her. And Kael—her son—had become one of them. Still, Angela had known she had to try. Dr. Ganner had made it clear that Lylah was the only one who could help, and one couldn't argue with him seeing that Lylah had nothing to lose and everything to gain.

Faryah

Faryah

--------------- Los Angeles, California ------------------------Lily's hospital ( Same evening) " Faryah" I called as I happily walked into her room and found her groaning in pain and holding her forehead. " Are you okay?" I panicked as I rushed closer to her and tapped the red button on her bed that alarmed the doctor as I kept the coffee on her bedside table. She was in terrible pain. " Goodness, what's going on?" I panicked again as I watched her groan louder and the doctor finally arrived with nurses as they injected something into her. I watched as she finally calmed down and took a deep breath and batted her eyes as she looked at us well. "I have been waiting for that to happen" Mike b

Forbidden: My Stepbrother, My Mate

Ella. The knock on my office door came at nine in the morning. "Come in," I called, not looking up from the grant application I was reviewing. A young woman stepped inside. She couldn't have been more than nineteen. Her dark hair was pulled back in a messy bun, and she clutched a folder against her chest like a shield. "Luna Ella? I'm sorry to bother you so early. I'm Lyra Rivers. From the Northern Territory pack?" I gestured to the chair across from my desk. "Sit. What can I do for you?"

Standing before love

Standing before love

Lyla wasn’t troubled by her conscience while she walked in and out of the building frequently—she did so because she wanted everyone to know that she was the woman Sean actually liked! When she got into the elevator, Lyla had a sudden urge to visit the design department. However, the moment she got out of the elevator, she saw a middle-aged lady who was walking toward her. The lady had pulled one of the workers over. “May I know if Miss Stark is here?” she asked. The lady was no stranger to Lyla—in fact, Lyla was extremely familiar with her.
