Adeline's POV I dashed into the Sacred room, flipping through the pages of one of the books neatly arranged in the bookshelf. I just needed answers to my curiosity, I wanted to know a way to keep Reyna alive; since the Pack Doctor had made me to understand that aborting the baby would be a big risk as my womb was still tender. I returned the book and picked another and on the front page, was body written, 'Moon-Twin bonding; rules and remedy.'

If it is useful to her, even though it's hurting thousands, but still she considers it as a good thing. If she doesn't like something, even though its benefits others, she will consider it as bad. That's how much the fire changes her attitude. Alvin and Alpine are searching for the book on Fairy fire, which will tell a way to help Nyra. Alvin doesn't want to give his daughter to the fairy fire. "Brother, is this the one?" Alpine removed a very old book, which has a thick layer of dust accumulated on it. He dusted the book, which made him cough with discomfort.

A dire warning inked in blood-red ink covered the bottom of the page. "It doesn't say anything about super-strength," I sighed, taking the book from Kayla and throwing it in the middle of the room with the rest of the useless books. "And anyway, Alaya wouldn't rely on a human, she hated humans. She had her own wolf. She didn't need to create a half-human, half Lycan to fight for her." Hours later the sun dipped behind the mountain casting the library into shadowy darkness. Lena distracted herself lighting candles and flicking on the lamps. Only a few paltry books remained on the shelves and we still had no answers.

Then Talisa left her to go wash up which she'll soon realise was her mistake. Adalyn watched until her friend disappeared and waited till she heard water running before grabbing Talisa's bag and searching through it. Her best friend had been behaving strangely lately and she couldn't wait to find that out. The moment she saw the book she was looking for, she dropped the bag and took the book out. "I wonder what's in this book that she's hiding" She opened to the first page and her hand froze. What she saw written at the top of the page wasn't something she was expecting at all. Kayla throws the book at him and storms out the room and Alexander chases after. There was so much I wanted to say to him but he had enough problems on his plate. Picking up the book and flicking through, there are pages on vampires, werewolves, witches even hunters and there was a whole section on Alpha-Lunas separate from the werewolf section.

“I’ve had copious amounts of time talking one on one with everyone else but you are never to be found or quickly sneak away when I do find you. I’ve seen you napping here in the sun a few times and decided that’s when I would catch you. I was beginning to wonder if you were solar powered.” Lynan snorted at that. “Yeah, I run on sun rays and caffeine.” “Noted,” Yael’s eyes twinkled with barely concealed amusement. Alden raised an eyebrow when I suddenly fell silent. “I don’t think I’ll be able to bring the book with me.” “Why?” “Because I can’t leave the library with it.” I gave him a sheepish look. “I left home without any money, and I didn’t bring a letter from Alpha Samuel. The librarian won’t let me take any of the books outside.” “Oh.” Alden glanced at the book before walking back toward me. He took it gently from my hands. “The librarian knows me. I come here almost every week.” He nodded toward the desk. “Let me speak to him. But I’ll be the one borrowing the book. You’ll bring it to me tomorrow, and I’ll return it myself.”

She looks disheveled and frustrated. She keeps hitting her nails and lips, alternating between the two. Alcinder is not responding to whatever Alyssa is doing and Avyanna’s heart is breaking over and over again. Avyanna also feels drained, like something or someone is sucking out life from her. She begins to wish her Father was here, he would know what to do. Elektra went to Alcinder’s shelf and brought out a book that was severely wrapped in newspapers and cardboard. Alyssa left Alcinder and went closer to Elektra.

I was counting on it. I gave a weird, cackling laugh that sounded way too loud in my dark little closet of an office. He was coming for me. Life just got very, very interesting.
