I felt a surge of pain and I reflexively held on to my forehead. I knew it! I knew the peace we had over the last two months after his disappearance was just too good to be true. It was really too good to be true considering how hell bent Sage was on possessing the band and ruling the entire Magical kingdom. He wasn't going to stop at ruling our kingdom alone. He wanted to be in control of the human world as well. I knew the way we overcame the last time wasn't a real assurance that he won't be back. I really wish this isn't true.

It was dark magick that she spoke of, but is there really magick? After a while of reflecting, I finally hoisted myself up to start on my tasks for the day. No matter how illogical things like a person breathing fire in the ocean, a turtle getting tired of walking and started flying in the air, a hyena marrying a cow— producing an offspring, a bird transforming into a fish- I mean mermaid usually seem, they were a hundred percent feasible here. Magical worlds were mostly interconnected but they were hard to detect through the use of space portal because of their clashing principles. It was also partly because the air here is filled with magic particles. The reason they were called a magical planet in the first place was because magic particles are infinitely present in this world. These particles can be absorbed and help strengthen an adventurer

When Cassy had bent down and put her hands on the ground, a breeze had begun to swirl around her making her hair fly, but Carol had quickly realized that since they were in her dimension, it was impossible for it to be a breeze, there was no wind in a dimension, there was just a certain amount of concentration of spiritual energy which depended on the power of the mage. My father and brother are normals, my step-mother, step-sister, and half-sister are mermaids. Fairies have a magical power that comes naturally. No choice, not training. Most are short, with pointed ears and colourful hair. Mages are kind of like fairies but tend not to have colourful hair, instead having tattoo-like markings. Mages are born with some potential magic but have to choose their speciality and train. Weaker versions of fairies, some people say.

And, almost always, you're born with only one type of magic. Which one? You can't simply decide to become a wizard. You either have the gift, or you don't. And, if you don't, you can jump through hoops, but it won't help you any. In total, there are seven types of magic. Four are elemental: air, water, fire, and earth. Three are spiritual: life, death, and mind. Out of them all, death mages are the least popular; they're also called necromancers. But we aren't talking about them right now. So, if your gift is fire, you can do your best, but you'd never do anything with water, and if you can conjure air, mind is outside your skill set.

The elders shook their heads in disbelief because they have hope never to have anything to do with the forest that has existed only in their folklores till now. Warriors have to be summoned immediately from the 11 clans in Afugiri, the bravest and then they’ll be coached and sent to fetch these magic beans. When the Elders were done, the Oracle came and fortified them with spiritual powers and gave them some instructions and elements to us when confronted with certain kinds of creatures, mermaids, and evil spirits and warned them on the ‘Dos and Don’ts’ of certain lands they’ll be crossing on their way to the forbidden forest.
