Unstable.” His gaze remained fixed on me. “Instead, it reacts like something forcing itself into place.”

Magnus takes a slow sip of his tea, letting out a deep, heavy growl that rattles the wood of his chair. "You are a precious, noble female of high standing! How can my grandson be so utterly blind?!" Magnus slams his cup onto the table, his golden eyes flaring with ancient fury.
