To stake a claim. Or did I read his signals wrong? Did I do something wrong? My shrill alarm tone jerked me out of my head before I could let another tear slip out. I turned off the noise and then ignored my phone again. I stepped away from him, my heart still pounding. The thin white stick on the counter stared back at me. It was taunting me, daring me to make a move. I grabbed it, swallowed hard, and lifted the stick close to my face. Two red lines. Two? What?

Just for good measure, I give them a little twist. He hisses out a breath in response. Now that I have his undivided attention, I growl, "If you don't get your damn hand off my ass immediately, I will continue squeezing until something pops. Do I make myself clear?" "Perfectly," he squeaks, sounding almost faint. Not a second later, he releases my offended butt cheek.

Non-threatening so that I could just get answers. Pulling my arm back after a minute or so, I rubbed it like there were cobwebs on my arm. Feeling the residue of another pack was weird and even more so when I had no intention of going on any pack territory moving forward. Sitting on the hood of Thing, I pulled out my drum sticks and started to hit some beats just on the metal between my legs.

Standing up, I race down escaping momentarily. I don't know for how long, my feet carries me, I see a clearing out front, jade green shines mystical. Racing through the clear field, I reach the middle, before I can take another step, my feet refuse to move, like an invisible hold am stuck. Pulling hard on my foot, I try to move but find it difficult. A huge shadow moves menacing towards me, trying hard to pull, lifting my feet with my arms trying desperately to run. The half moon shines illuminating the four legged breast, pitch black fur blended with the darkness, sharp fierce long canine reveled itself coated with saliva, the beast opened its mouth huffing out a ragged breath.

“Just check. Rule it out. For peace of mind.” My hands trembled slightly as I retrieved it, the plastic crinkling unnaturally loud in the quiet room. The instructions were simple, absurdly so, for something that could shatter or rebuild a world. Two minutes. An eternity. I set the stick on the edge of the sink and turned away, unable to watch.

“I’ll lose my balance.” “Is it coming anytime soon?” “I don’t know.” “Do you want me to turn my head?” “Yeah, maybe that would help.” She does, and I concentrate, and what feels like five minutes later, a few dribbles come out. I hit my hand and miss the stick. I focus harder, and finally, I nail it. I don’t know if it’s a five second stream like the directions say, but the whole stick and all my fingers are drenched.

There’s nothing that she can use, one way or another for whatever purpose. There’s no bed or anything to use as a mattress. Not even boxes. There’s a table, but it doesn’t look sturdy enough. It’s too high as well. She tried cleaning a corner, sweeping it with a small calendar she picked up. Then she sat there. She looked at her wrist watch. Time seems to go very slow when you have nothing to do.

She typed the message and sent it. "Even if you don’t know, I will teach you!" "I hope you don’t run away when we will be making love!" "Wait a second, I won't let you run! I will tie your hands to the bedpost and we will make love until you make me pregnant!" "When you will not feel shy anymore, I will love it if you dominate me in bed!" I'd planned on using reeds to bind the cut rows together, but I suspect we'd only make it a few miles before it starts to give away and where would that leave us, clutching at ourselves in horror while we fought to balance on a chunk of wood?"
