“Won’t Ryan have a problem with that?” Malcolm shook his head. “He doesn’t know.” I just stared at him. “He asked what was going on,” Malcolm continued. He hesitated, looking for the right way to put it. “I told him you were... having a moment.” I frowned, the phrase not quite landing. “A moment?” Malcolm shifted his weight, looking uncharacteristically awkward. “He assumed it was... Female instinct… from your wolf,” he said. “You know it's pretty common.”

Peter flashes across my eyes but I brush it off just as quickly, I’m not a pushover either. English," I insisted, my voice firm. The only word I understood from all he had spoken was my name: Wilder. The rest could have been incantations for all I knew.
