~Aria "I just don't get it, you know?" I say, pulling the edge of the potato chip packet back, so I could find a good one. Malik sat opposite me, flicking through a random book he had picked up. He had shown up in the library tonight like he had promised. I was also granted some decent food, along with his presence, after I had to wait ten minutes for him to get away unnoticed. The past few nights, he hadn't had any problems, but after the conversation of Patience was brought up, and the fact that her going home had him swarmed with more security, I began to understand.

We visited the Malmo castle the rest of the afternoon and had supper with our friends. ‘Are you feeling better?’ Julie asked as soon as she sat down across from me. ‘I am’ I smiled at her. Ruth and Darcie were in their own little world next to us while the guys were laughing and conversing in Russian. Once supper was over we all headed back to our rooms, Dmitry and Misha following us to our room to watch a soccer game with Sasha. I sat next to him on our bed resting my head on his chest being lulled to sleep by the guys’ deep soothing and exotic voices.

“Why? Why not me? I deserve as much, don't I?” “You don't.” A male voice spoke and looked up at the owner. I rolled my eyes immediately when I saw him. Malachi. “What do you want?” I was definitely not in the mood for any conversation or query. “Want? What did you say, Sage?” “Yeah. I don't have time to play any games with you. I'm not in the mood.” “Do I look like someone that plays games?” Malachi's expression was cold. He was right. He doesn't joke around like Zach. He was always cold to everyone. Always minding his business. Who knows what he normally does in his spare time?

I tell Malachi who also nods as he plops down on the bed beside me. “Yes, it is. You should get some rest. We have to head to the hospital early in the morning” “I know that babe” I lean into his embrace, “but first tell me, I didn’t know you acted in movies” “I didn’t act, i just did some promotional videos for them” “Can I see?” I ask with a pout but he shakes his head in the negative. “No” Malachi blurts out, a smile threatening to burst out of him, “I don’t want you to see it”

Malachi declares, staring at me with admiration. Malachi hovers over me. I run my hands down the back of his shirt to the hem, then pull his shirt off, dragging my nails softly along his skin. He shivers at my touch. I force Malachi to a standing position and stare at his bare chest, taking in every single intricate tattoo on his skin. I grab his belt, unbuckling it slowly, looking up at him while licking my lips, letting him know my intentions.

Mark shook his head perturbed, making his way to the settee. "Calm down Mark! It's just she brought us the evidence...and good news from the hackers, they were able to take down the photos. We are free men!" Marlon rejoiced. I couldn't help but feel pleased with myself. I mentally patted my own back, congratulating myself. I did it again, saved their poor, miserable, always in trouble and breaking the rules arses. Mark's gaze fell on me. "I'll have your cheque ready by today evening. You've saved me big time." He said with absolute clarity.

Malachi said as he turned towards his study. They all followed him inside and stood behind his chair as he opened the video. Adara gasped as she looked at him inside that right, beating the hell out of the other man. “He looks different,” she said and James touched her shoulder and then anger took over. “He’s bigger and meaner,” James murmured. “Why hasn’t he come home?” she asked angrily. “I don’t know, Adara, this seems to be what he’s doing with his time, fight nights all over California. He calls himself K,” Malachi said.

The longer this goes on the more I am wondering if I can handle it. "We have no idea." Malachi's voice is full of frustration, and he is clearly annoyed. "No idea, none. No one is talking, and no one is stepping up to claim it. And the cameras don't even show any real tampering other that you see the box there and then poof gone!" He slams his fist down on the table. I jump and flinch away from him. I can feel the anger coming off of him and I am ashamed to admit it scared the hell out of me.

Their heads turn simultaneously when they spot us, and I swear I feel my soul exit my body. Jaxon and I are supposed to keep what just happened between us a secret, right? I raise my chin and do exactly what Jaxon said: I stay straight. Straight back, straight face, and I can feel myself walking straight into hell. We approach them, my hand still snug in Jaxon’s, and the moment we stop in front of the bar, Ronan’s eyes dance between the both of us. “We thought you'd never come back.” Malachi speaks softly, and hands me a drink like he’s been waiting for me.

His smile was warm as he asked her, “My name is Malachi. I am looking for a friend. Do you mind helping uncle out?” “Your accent is weird.” She spoke through her missing teeth. “And your pet is scary.” “Pet!” Malachi raised an eyebrow as he watched Jordan while he held laughter… “You're not a lycan.” She stated the obvious. “Are you spies?” “Can I hold her?” Malachi asked as he reached for a doll wrapped on dirty rugs. “Her name is Noi.” The girl introduced her doll as she passed him to Malachi. “What about yours?” “Lueth.”
