Manhunt Book Novels & Stories

***** Present day ****** “He liked to hunt me, I would have to run and try to hide, obviously I could never because he had security cameras everywhere and he would watch me, but then he stopped, and it became a real game of hide and seek with the twisted ending. He would catch me, trap me on the floor and use me. I had no way to escape, no one to help, I tried to scream several times, but not even the women that worked for him helped me. No one cared. I was on my own, I am on my own”, I tell him, trying to keep myself from crying and trying to keep him from losing his shit on me.

The game between two people who understood each other far too well to pretend that this was anything other than what it was. ‎A hunt. ‎And I always won my hunts. ‎The only question was whether Sarah would realize that she was hunting me just as hard as I was hunting her. ‎

Fisting my hands over the surface of the table, I said, “The only thing that will clear the misunderstanding is you handing Elias over to me.” My words brought his usual deviousness back. “There’s no handing him over. He killed my sister, so I tell you when we’ll torture him and you will come to join me.” It didn’t sound like a poor plan. “My men have been searching through his things. He apparently has connections with many people.” “He’s a manipulative bastard.” “I can see how much.” He pointed at the drive. “He was smart enough to keep proofs of all his business and negotiations through surveillance cameras, hidden cams, pen cams and so on.”

I guessed that it could be a clash between clans, it wasn't my business, I should be escaping by now but why couldn't I just walk away? " Erebus has been fu*king with us, to set up a party and not attend it, that's disappointing, I don't suppose you know why every clan head wants that damned book," The man with the gun tilted his head to the side as he chuckled slightly before he continued with an evil smirk playing on his lips."I planned on getting my hand on that book before anyone else but no matter, I'll just have to kill the fu*ker who stole the book." I watched as the man continued in the conversation which now seemed one-sided as the other fellow didn't seem a slight bit responsive to

The anticipation of their next conversation lingered in her mind, making it difficult to concentrate fully on the book. Aleah's thoughts drifted back to Hunter's firm handshake and the way he had looked at her. There was something about him that intrigued her, despite his arrogance. She wondered what it would be like to get to know him better, to see beyond his cold exterior. As she read, she found herself more and more captivated by the thought of unraveling the mystery that was Hunter Bryant.

...Hunter POV... I felt like pulling out my hair. For what seemed like the twentieth time now, the Huntress, whoever she was, had managed to foil my plans. I didn't know who this Huntress was, but she was driving me insane. No matter what I did, she always seemed to be one step ahead of me. Earlier on, I sent my men out to capture another lead. We had been tailing him for a week and found an opportunity to grab him discreetly. He was a minister of the government and was known for taking handouts. Making him an easy target for Silvio.

I watched for a moment before walking toward my door. As I was shutting it, I heard Elena whisper, “Go get your man, Auntie.” I shook my head. That girl was a disaster walking, and I absolutely adored the organized chaos that was Elena. I quietly crept down the stairs before slipping out the back door and into the forest. I stopped beneath his tree, looking up, scanning the tree for him but not finding him. “I know you’re here, ‘Sprey. I can feel you.” He sighed as he swung himself down out of the tree. “Hey, Scarlett. I was just leaving. I was hunting a squirrel. They’re fast and good to hunt to keep myself fresh and-”

The mention of his name alone was a sign of fear and an emblem of pain in the heart of the people living in the city. He was a ruthless businessman with no lackadaisical attitude towards his works and business. He deals with his opponent ruthlessly and seals the deal brilliantly. However, there was more to him than just being a known ruthless human demon. Despite his brilliance and Excellency. Nathan Peyton had a secret..... He was the devilish dragon king in disguise..... Being a girl bounty hunter had advantages, and people often underestimated me, which worked to my benefit. After locking my apartment door behind me, I trailed my fingers along the wall until I found the light switch. “Honey, I’m home!” I called out humorously into the space, trying to lighten my mood. I lived alone in a small bachelor pad where the living room, kitchen, and bedroom were all in one area. My Murphy bed, which was neatly made, doubled as a library and storage unit when folded up. I had a few books on it, including a crime novel I read during sleepless nights.

Killing a woman who posts no threats to her is too much. As the hired man approached Marie Arnold, his footsteps echoing softly in the dimly lit alleyway, he felt a familiar surge of adrenaline coursing through his veins. He had always been killing, and this is the same feeling he always feels whenever he is about to kill someone. He knew what he had been tasked to do, but as he drew closer to his target, he couldn't shake the nagging feeling of doubt that gnawed at the edges of his conscience.
