Something about the Blood Moon did this to us, enhanced our senses enough that it almost made us go insane. Our bodies would run on our deep-rooted instincts, making even the almost silent humming of a lightbulb sound like a blaring siren. The man's hand on my arm immediately fell. They stepped back but stopped when continuous thunders echoed in the sea. I got startled too, but I stood still on my position and fixed my eyes on the man in front. He's just standing there, no weapons, and eyes glowing in the midst of darkness. He didn't just look dangerous. He looked lethal. The look in his eyes screamed bloodshed. The thought of what he could do in anger made me shiver.

No one could have predicted that the day would come when Malcolm as self-assured as he would become sweet and childish. “Done… Are you feeling better?” “Probably… But just a little! Do you know? My heart raced wildly as I recalled the legends and myths surrounding vampires, their eyes turning black in the throes of bloodlust. My breath caught in my throat as I stumbled backward, my eyes never leaving Draco's advancing form. A sharp pain shot through my elbow as a thorn pricked my skin, drawing forth a small but significant drop of blood. The metallic scent filled the air, and I could feel Draco's craving intensify, his gaze fixed on the crimson droplets. Panic surged within me, knowing that the scent of my blood would only heighten Draco's craving. I needed to escape, to find safety before it was too late.
