Jennie nodded softly, swallowing the lump in her throat as she walked up to her mother and gently took her arm. "Mother, come on. You should be in bed," Jennie muttered as she tried to guide Amara back toward the hospital bed. Amara resisted for a moment, her eyes fixated on the door Marceline had just walked through. Her face was streaked with tears, and her eyes were bloodshot with regret. "Marceline... she’s angry. She has every right to be. I shouldn't have said those things." Jennie remained quiet, her grip on her mother gentle but firm.

Then I will kill you in front of him.” In Mariane’s annoyance, she spat in Stacey’s face, and because of what she did, Stacey’s anger grew even more. Stacey wiped her face with her handkerchief. Stacey burst out in anger. “How dare you spit on me! You, bitch!!!” Stacey grabbed Mariane’s hair and pull them, causing the defenseless Mariane to remain in pain. It did not content Stacey at all. So, she slapped her side by side. Mariane’s delicate face reddened from the slap she received from Stacey.

Her eyes were hard. “Whoa…I didn’t mean to make you angry. I was just thinking…” “Thinking about what, Logan? Just let it go. She deserved to die,” Marina said nonchalantly. I was shocked at her statement. I knew her mom was abusive, but how can she say that about someone who was brutally murdered? “God, I hate her so much. She was the worst. She made me feel like I was nothing,” Marina said. She wasn’t even looking at me anymore.

Adan talks to her as he tries his best to be calm. "But I am not family…I am not your blood Adan…I am only a maid to you…please Adan…please do this for me please…" Marinette pleads with him as she breaks into fresh tears. "I hate to see you cry so stop crying. Don't let me lose my temper and punish someone else in your stead. Please!" Adan begs her. "You have been with so many women. You still don't love any? No woman has touched your heart, Adan?" Marinette asks him in a broken voice.

Marinette keeps laughing each time Jaz talks about her experience with a young man at work. Apparently, the man told her she's too elegant and pretty to be single. He gave her some flowers, sent a letter, and asked her to become his wife. I cringe at the thought of Jaz getting married to such a dumbass. “Well, why did you turn him down?” Marinette's laughing hard, fingers digging into the shrimps on the dining table. She raises her head, meeting Jaz’s gaze. “He might really like you, you know?” She teases, “there's no harm in trying him out.”

Marianne had a very nasty temper. It was a fact she was too well aware of. Luckily for everyone in her life, it very rarely reared it’s ugly head since it was very hard to provoke her to true anger. Annoyance, yes, irritation, maybe. But never true anger. She was feeling it now, that gnawing anger that listened to no reason. The frustration of the few days had managed to mount so high in her that it needed an outlet. She was irrationally angry, and being told to rest – who the fuck needed that? – was more than enough to cause her anger to overflow.
