Falling for My Best Friend's Brother

Falling for My Best Friend's Brother

I told him. "Oh," he said. "Well. You are still talented." I almost laughed. It came out of nowhere and I caught it before it became real, because laughing in the middle of the worst week of my life in a lecture hall felt wrong. But the almost was there. "Thanks," I told him. "I am Mark by the way," he told me, putting his hand out. "Nice to meet you," I told him, taking it. He settled into his seat and the lecture started.

Dear Ex fiancè:I crawled out of grave, it's too late to beg

I replied. “Of course,” Mark said, his charm sliding back into place. “My apologies. You simply have a presence. It’s rare to see someone command a room like that. You caught me off guard. And twenty-five million dollars…” His smile widened. “That’s a number that commands attention.” “I intend to command more than attention,” I said calmly. “I intend to command results. But I don’t do business in the middle of a dance floor.” Mark’s eyes lit up. Greed washed away the last of his hesitation. He glanced around the ballroom, noting the prying eyes of the press and the jealous stares of other investors. He needed to lock me down before I changed my mind.

he teased. Mark held so many shares in different companies, so of course he had lots of investments. Emery smiled, feeling a sense of hope. "Mr. Mark, nature did great! I had no idea you were a fan of coffee." Mark laughed, “Not really, since I'm here, I shouldn't be in a hurry to leave,” Mark sat down at their table, his eyes scanning the room before focusing on Emery. "Right! It's good I met you here today. Actually, I had it in mind to reach out to you but then… been busy.”He explained,

Calmly, he prepared to continue his explanation, hoping to bring back focus and cooperation among them. "Enough! Go on, Zack!" said Marko, intervening between his debating friends and inviting Zack to continue his speech.

said Luke who heard Mark’s statement and turned towards him with confused expressions. “Because you didn’t attend lectures on Werewolvism here before” Mark pointed out the problem. “Point taken” said Luke while nodding in agreement. “But you have not found your Luna yet, right?” asked Mark in a curious tone. “Um. No comments” said Luke while keeping his index finger on his perfectly cushion soft cherry red lips. Being his understanding self, Mark didn’t force him to talk about it and let go of the topic with a simple statement. “Fine, I will respect your privacy then” said Mark plainly.

He set the tablet down on the windowsill with deliberate care, as if controlling the urge to throw it. “What was that about?” I asked, my voice still rough with sleep. Mark didn’t look at me right away. He stared out the window at the city below, his back to me. “He wants to buy strategic shares in the Carson group.” I sat up fully. “Buy shares? Why?”

The Third Room [MxM]

The Third Room [MxM]

The windows had fogged in uneven patches, and Noah kept his eyes on the one nearest him, watching a drop of condensation slide down the glass like it was trying to escape. Professor Marek was mid-lecture, reading from a battered edition of The Waves with that same dry theatricality that made every line sound like a prophecy. Noah wasn't sure if the heat or the lack of sleep was giving him a headache, but something was pulsing low behind his eye, steady and irritating. "'Nothing thicker than a knife's blade separates happiness from melancholy,'" Marek read, then glanced up. "Discuss." There was a shuffling of papers, the squeak of a chair adjusting. Somewhere behind him, a girl cleared her th

This is such an interesting book, and the characters are really good. Jane is that one friend anybody should have, and then Elara who was called barren was finally going to be having her baby. It's a pity her husband had to cheat on her with her step sister. Overall the story is really good.

Honestly I love that she had a friend like Jane, I love her personality. I love how I could feel every emotion you tried to put into words and everything played like a movie in my thoughts. This is such a good read. Kudos dear author...️

Pathological dependence

Pathological dependence

He simply closed the distance Mark had tried to create with his tone. “I saw your name in the program,” Mark continued, his gaze sweeping over Leonard with a dismissive air. “A poster session. How… quaint. Still benefiting from Professor Weston’s… extensive mentorship, I assume?” He leaned in slightly, his voice dropping to a venomous whisper. “Or does his ‘special tutelage’ extend to co-authoring your work these days?”

Forbidden Academia - A Sinful Syllabus

Forbidden Academia - A Sinful Syllabus

“Avery! Hey, wait up!” It was Mark. A guy from my dorm, an arrogant jock who thought a little attention meant he was entitled to more. He had that cocky swagger. “Finally caught you. You were in Thorne’s office for ages. What was that all about? He giving you some special attention?” He winked, a knowing, slightly aggressive glint in his eyes. My heart hammered. I glanced back into the lecture hall. Draco was still at the podium, gathering his papers. But his head was turned, his eyes fixed on us. On me.
