I couldn’t believe our luck because it’s almost impossible to see the head Alpha and I would meet with him in six days. Bella's POV The luxurious conference room was adorned with mahogany furniture and floor-to-ceiling windows, offering a panoramic view of the city skyline. The scent of freshly brewed coffee permeated the air as I sat at the expansive table, surrounded by Xander and his closest business associates. The tension in the room was palpable, and I could sense that something significant was about to unfold. Among the group was Mark Sullivan, Xander's long-time confidant and trusted business associate. With his sharp features and penetrating gaze, Mark exuded an air of confidence and authority. He had always been a prominent figure within Bennett Industries, and his loyalty had never been questioned.

I unknowingly shouted, altering Jessica and waking Maverick from his sleep. Maverick began to cry, and Jessica picked him up, holding him in a tight hug. She looked over at me, but I didn't miss the concerned expression on her face. I could tell that she knew that something was wrong, and was desperate to find out what had happened. I switched the phone over to speaker phone, knowing that Jessica desperately wanted to know what had happened. Thankfully, Maverick was too young to understand what was going on.
