"I assume you didn't enjoy the martini you had earlier?"
Her cheeks flush with embarrassment. "Oh God, you saw that? Please don't fire your bartender or anything. It wasn't their fault." She grabs onto my forearm, and the warmth from her touch sears through me. "I don't drink. At all. I've only seen martinis ordered in movies, you know," she tosses her hair over her shoulder and lowers her voice seductively, "I'll have a martini. Dirty. Shaken. Not stirred."
I chuckle at her rambling, finding her conversation refreshing. Dealing with business all the time, it's been ages since I had a conversation that didn't involve someone's death.
