*Luca* “Martin, this is a file of a lot of names. People who have been here through time. I have one here, it goes all the way back to 81 !" "And I have one from 74 here". Martin raises a faded chart. "They are all marked as dead”. He opens a new one. "Here! Hallgren. Here we are all three of us”. He lifts the folder out of the drawer and we sit down at a table in the corner.

Regina said. “Sam, I won’t take shit from her, you are enough pain in the ass for me, I don’t need another one,” Martin said pointing at Regina. He was shorter than Regina which made it funny somehow, it was like a little kid was arguing with a whole big ass, fully grown adult. I laughed at the thought. “Yeah real nice here, get out Sam before I start throwing chairs at ya,” Martin said to me. “Think again,” “Get out, things have been slow these days and now this miss perfect arrives and starts lecturing me about my place,” Martin said.

Damien's POV The Martin contact arrived at nine fifty, which meant he had left wherever he was staying early enough to be ten minutes ahead of schedule, which told me something useful about how he operated before he sat down. His name was Graham Corr. Fifty, compact, the kind of man who had been running large operations long enough that he no longer needed to perform competence. He shook hands with me, with Elara, with Alexander, looked at Clare briefly and nodded once, and sat down.

Marcel didn’t say a word, he didn’t object on his beta, and clearly his best friend, staying in the room. “Do you want to get something to drink?” He asked me, and I shook my head as I looked down at the man who I knew was fighting back his own blood. “Thank you for calling me.” I said, looking at Vladimir who nodded. “I should be the one thanking you for trusting me.” He said, watching as Marcel fought back his own demons tonight, fought back his pain and anger. Whatever had caused this trigger, I knew that it was not easy for him to control.

The giggling coming from Marie was part excitement for Gemma and part beer fuzz. Her brother Kyle had provided the drinks for the party. He and his best friend, Tony Bennet, owned the only bar in town—KT Spirits. It had been a long, hard road for them. They’d had to do a lot of work to the place, but they made it the spot to be in Florence. Another cousin—Julie? Kahit hawakan pa niya ito gamit ang dalawang kamay ay hindi niya iyon maitatago.

Being Adrien Russell's wife was a great advantage. Martin's presence too, had him and his men in their limits. Martin looked like a man in his mid-thirties. His height was almost the same to that of Adrien's but his body was much bulkier in comparison. He took me back to Adrien's house and I thanked him as the day went on smoothly.
